Two of my favourite boys names, clash really really horribly, [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m].
Unfortunately I would hate naming brothers this due to possible NNs “[name_u]Con[/name_u]” & “[name_m]Dom[/name_m]”.
The last name would be K3nnedy so I also can not use [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] due to initials D.C.K.
I would like to use both maybe one as a middle and one as a first.
I am loving [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] more than [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] at the moment as I love NNs and can’t think of and for [name_m]Conrad[/name_m].
I would love opinions on what would you choose out of [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and why?
The combinations I have at the moment are
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] OR [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] OR [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m].
The list linked is all the names I have found so far that I like.
I seem to like names that has at least one good NN or a few potential NNs.
Check out my signature for possible brother/s as well as possible sisters (which I am also needing opinions on in the linked thread).
I actually like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] together; mind you I have never heard anyone named [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] being nn “[name_u]Con[/name_u]”.
I like I would prefer [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] K3nnedy as a combo, it flows a little better.
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] OR [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]: I would choose [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] OR [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]: I would choose [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m].
From your signature I would like [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Asher[/name_m], over [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Tristan[/name_u].
From your “boys list” I really like:
[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]
[name_m]Donovan[/name_m]
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
Ooh I like both a lot, can see why you’re torn. I think I’d have to go with [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], because I love the symmetry and the nn [name_u]Con[/name_u]. (I haven’t actually known a [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] nn [name_u]Con[/name_u], but I’ve known [name_m]Connor[/name_m]'s and ppl with [name_u]Con[/name_u]- last names who were called [name_u]Con[/name_u], and I love it.) [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] could also be [name_u]Nic[/name_u] or [name_u]Nico[/name_u], which might be more usable together…?
I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] flows better than [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]. I like both [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] combos.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
Always thought I could get away with [name_m]Rad[/name_m] as a nickname which is bold but in a fun way which I think most people would appreciate.
I also think you could get away with [name_u]Cody[/name_u] and [name_u]Cory[/name_u], or even [name_m]Cole[/name_m] for [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the alliteration of [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] K3nnedy, don’t like [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] K3nnedy at all, the back to back -k- sounds kill it for me, even though I really like [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] also.
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] gets my vote Awesome name!
As for matching with siblings, I’d put [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Xander[/name_m]. I’d pair [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] with [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Elara[/name_f] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] (and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]).
I have not got a good idea of NNs for [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. I just thought “[name_u]Con[/name_u]” would be it.
I like the idea of “[name_m]Rad[/name_m]”.
I prefer [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] to [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], though [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] might not sound as great as [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u].
I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] make a great sibset. nn’s [name_m]Dom[/name_m] and [name_u]Ash[/name_u] work good also if you wanted.
Though do you really need [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] to have a nn? It’s a nice strong two syllable name as is that’s not a mouthful to say. I see where [name_u]Con[/name_u] and [name_m]Dom[/name_m] don’t work that well but [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] sort of do.
Maybe with your first son go with the combo you love the best, use [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]. Then on your second son you might have a few new names you discover to think about, or you might just wait and see what he looks and feels like after he’s born to see if [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Asher[/name_m] feels better on him.
I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] match. As far as nicknames go if you with [name_m]Rad[/name_m] and [name_m]Mick[/name_m] as nicknames that resolves your issue.
I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]Asher[/name_m]
If you were to change one or both of the nicknames for [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] they wouldn’t clash! I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and honestly I don’t really like any nicknames for this, [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] sounds good as is to me!
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] is my favorite out of your combos
The [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] combo is really great. I can’t decide whether I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] more individually, but the [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] combo decided it for me.
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is one of my all time favorite names. I absolutely love it. Personally I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] go just fine together, but if it bothers you I would pick [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] especially since you seem to like it more. I think [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] sounds fine.
