Inspired by @CherryBomb50’s Name Wordle! game (and of course the original Wordle). The only difference is that the name doesn’t have to be 5 letters and the chooser has to say how many letters is in the new name.
I would also suggest not using really long names and to tag the current name picker with each guess so they don’t have to keep coming back to check for comments.
Rules, copied from Miranda's thread
Since thread games are usually guessed with multiple people, everyone playing a round has 10 guesses as a group to solve the name. Whoever makes the correct guess gets to choose the name for the next round.
To choose a name, it can be any gender or origin but it has to be in the Nameberry database.
And just like in Wordle, black squares mean the letter is not in the name, yellow squares means that letter is in the name but not in that spot, green squares means that letter is in the name in that exact spot. Also if your name choice has a letter in the name but it only appears once, a black square can be used for the duplicate.
Example (In this example, the secret name is Marie):
Guesser 1: Harry
Name Picker:
Guesser 2: Randy
Name Picker:
Guesser 3: Rosie
Name Picker:
Guesser 1: Marie
Name Picker:
Guesser 1 would then be the next Name Picker. If 10 guesses by everyone playing go by and nobody guesses the secret name, the Name Picker will reveal what the name was, be the Name Picker again, and choose a new name.
First name is six letters!
