[name_f]My[/name_f] phone prefers the names [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Margaux[/name_f], & [name_u]Skye[/name_u].

[name_m]Even[/name_m] funnier because I’m pregnant & none of these are on our list. [name_f]My[/name_f] phone is trying to give me its opinion

Off topic, but I’m obsessed with this.

Also, adding Barbie as a gender neutral greeting? “Hi, Barbie!”

I saw names for the towns [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], Batavia, and [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] all on one sign on the interstate when driving home from vacation, and couldn’t help but think they’d make great triplets XD

I once came across a character named [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], who was born in the late 70’s-ish. It threw me off so much I don’t remember anything else about the story.

Not only does this person not know what “long” means, they used [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] twice.

This is the kind of post that prompts people to ask:

“I’ve been thinking about naming my daughter [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], but is it too long?! I’m worried she’ll always get [name_f]Brie[/name_f] because [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is just too much trouble! Pls help!!!”

Me and one of my friends were discussing [name_u]America[/name_u] Ferrera, or more specifically who names their kid [name_u]America[/name_u]. This conversation would then develop into who could pick a more random country as a name:

“Hey [name_u]France[/name_u] I’m Turkey”
“Hey Turkey I’m Uzbekistan”
“Hey Venezuela I’m Denmark”
“Hey [name_m]Denmark[/name_m] It’s me São [name_m]Tomé[/name_m] and Príncipe”

[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] too, one nicknamed maddie and one [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]

I love America :smiling_face_with_tear: I know how weird it sounds but I promise it’s a normal name in Latino culture :sob: America Ferrera is actually named after her mother América

Well, To be fair, it isn’t the worst celebrity name I’ve ever heard. Quick Question though (I’m assuming you’re Latino?), what would you shorten it to?

I am (Boricua) Me personally my favorite nn for her is [name_f]Kika[/name_f] but I’ve seen people use Méri, Amé, [name_f]Rica[/name_f], Érica, Éri and [name_u]Mica[/name_u] before. [name_f]América[/name_f] is actually a variant of [name_m]Amerigo[/name_m] (Italian) and [name_m]Emmerich[/name_m] (Germanic) which in turn actually makes it a variant of the name [name_u]Emery[/name_u] instead of a place name (Emery could also work as a nn too)!
