The sharks bit! :tada:

Did you tune in? Nameberry’s founder and CEO @pam[name_f][/name_f] pitched the future of Nameberry on Shark [name_m]Tank[/name_m] last night. I don’t have cable, so I just got done watching it (now on Hulu) this morning.

I didn’t watch it so I can’t answer the first two (I don’t know where to find it), but I’d love to answer the other three!

I feel like I’m not doing this right, but my favorite thing about Nameberry is just the welcoming environment. Everyone is accepted and even if people don’t like your names, everyone is polite and helpful. [name_m]Way[/name_m] different than some online communities. If you mean feature[name_f][/name_f] feature, I like the “liking” system, so you can see how many people like a name (this is for the notd threads mostly).

I actually found it because I would search for names often for stories, and I came across some Nameberry posts on Google. I wanted to sign up so I could make posts because the community looked friendly and there was some awesome advice, but I had to wait till I was 13. The rest goes down in history…

I think naming will become more of an art form (like we already consider it on here), like instead of picking names that you “just like” because of the sound/I heard it somewhere, people will put more research and thought into it. I think names will just generally become more of a statement (for good or for bad), because of sites like Nameberry, where names are contemplated, loved (obviously), and here we treat them like more than names, they’re also aesthetics, visions, meanings. I think and hope that will spread to the general world.
