Names for girls on an equestrian/riding team

Hello! I’m writing a novella about an all-female equestrian team that are considered to be some of the best riders on the circuit. They’re from 15 to 18 years old. No super-popular names like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f], please! (Though names similar to them, such as [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] are fine)

[name_f]Brisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f]
[name_f]Vienna[/name_f]

[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]

I used to ride horses, and there were girls with everything from super-common names for our generation to very unusual ones. Here are some of the names I came across (dots to protect privacy, not part of the names!):

[name_f]Carly[/name_f]
[name_f]Christine[/name_f]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_m]Teodor[/name_m].a
Enis.e
[name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Meda[/name_f] (med-ah)
[name_f]Chanelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_u]Julie[/name_u]
[name_u]Jaime[/name_u].e
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]
[name_f]Julianna[/name_f]

Here are some names that were in the top 500 in the year 2000 (around when they would’ve been born):

[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]
[name_f]Summer[/name_f]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Macy[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lacey[/name_f]
[name_f]Viviana[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessie[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f]
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Justine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]

But of course you can name them whatever your heart desires, like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] or [name_f]Luna[/name_f] or [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] or [name_f]Domitille[/name_f]! It just depends on how distracting to the audience you want their names to be. If they’re more background characters, names like the long list above make more sense because readers will gloss over them more readily than they would [name_f]Domitille[/name_f]. But if you want them to stick out, less common names might be better. [name_f]Happy[/name_f] writing!
