Names For My 1800s Story

I am currently writing a story about a girl who immigrates to [name_u]America[/name_u] from [name_u]London[/name_u] in the 1800s. She goes to live with her grandparents in [name_f]Missouri[/name_f]. So fare my character names are: (let me know what you think)

Adelaide [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_m]Perkins[/name_m] (goes by [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and the main character)
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_m]Miller[/name_m] (Her best friend)
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]
[name_m]Dirk[/name_m] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u]- Im curious of what you think about this name. It’s different… he is one of the main characters so I want him to have a really good name. He has black hair and brown eyes and works as a garden boy for the [name_m]Perkins[/name_m] family. What are some other suggestions for his name? I would prefer it to start with a D, but anything is fine. He is a strong, charismatic character.

I also need other names for characters in this story. Specifically one snobbish, prim girl. Any ideas? Thanks!

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] “[name_f]Ada[/name_f]”, [name_f]Edith[/name_f], and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] are great!

I like [name_m]Dirk[/name_m] too. Behind the Name says that [name_m]Dirk[/name_m] was popularized in the [name_f]English[/name_f]-speaking world by [name_m]Dirk[/name_m] Bogarde (1921-1999). I’m not sure if this means it was used before then, just as a rare name, or if it was completely unheard of before then. It’s a [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] name but [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] is a very [name_f]English[/name_f] surname so I’m assuming you weren’t meaning for the character to be [name_m]Dutch[/name_m]. I’m afraid I can’t say for certain whether the name would work. I will say that if you introduced the character as [name_m]Dirk[/name_m], I probably wouldn’t question it.
[name_m]Drake[/name_m] was my first thought for an alternative but, again, I can’t verify whether that would be a realistic name. [name_u]Douglas[/name_u], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Donald[/name_m], or [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] would also work!

Snobby, prim girl…
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ursula[/name_f]
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]

This is where I got these ideas. Not sure if the story is truly in the Victorian era haha but it encompasses much of the 1800s!
