I just thought this was a fun idea and wanted to see what everyone came up with!
Rules: You decide what the character will be named, and how many names they get (just a first name, first and middle, first and last, first, middle, last and so on). The name MUST start with one of the letters provided with each prompt.
If you wish to give the character multiple names, you must pick names that start with another of the given letters.
Prompt 1: Modern setting
First Letter: D, E, N, O, R, V
A university drop-out moves in with her grandmother as a part-time caretaker. Once she’s settled into her new home, she realizes her grandmother is not the only ‘person’ living there. The house is haunted by 4 ghosts!
Prompt 2: Fantasy setting
First Letter: C, F, G, J, L, M
A soldier whose entire unit was wiped out during a battle. His commander was later falsely accused of treason and blamed for the deaths of all soldiers. However, it was this character who was to blame, not his commander. He moved away to a remote town where nobody knows him and assumed a new identity. He now has to find a way to deal with his guilt and the scars of war, while balancing a new identity and new life.
Prompt 3: Futuristic space setting
First Letter: A, H, I, P, S, X
Many years from now, a group of astronauts will discover a star that’s about the size of a mini planet. It contains life forms. As they try to land on the star, their shuttle crashes, killing most of their colleagues instantly. Now this woman is alone on this completely new star and has to discover and blend in with the new life forms.
