Names from La La Land

Have you ever seen or heard a name and found yourself completely lost for words? You know, those names you hear and automatically think ‘where did THAT come from?’ or ‘oh, you have got to be kidding me…’ I call these the names from La La [name]Land[/name], a magical utopia where the understood laws of naming do not apply and bizarre, illogical names run rampant. Perusing Facebook this evening, I noticed some names that had me absolutely dumbfounded. Among them:

[name]Latrina[/name]- as in ‘latrine’
[name]Per[/name]’[name]Shona[/name]- as in ‘persona’
Majestee
Durnisha- I don’t understand what was appealing about the ‘dur’ syllable
[name]Lezlee[/name]- I couldn’t believe this spelling was legitimate
Philester
Zinzan
Eego

I know that you all will have more names to contribute, many of them probably much more bizarre than this! Hopefully we’ll be able to have a little fun with this.

I mentioned this a while ago, but here’s one of the worst I’ve heard: a little girl named Cicada. :shock:

I don’t know if this is exactly what you meant, but I know a guy named [name]Raven[/name], which in itself isn’t too bad, but his sister’s name is… Dolphin.

I met a girl named Feloni.

I think you may have mentioned this one before, but let me just say that is purely awful!

Feloni reminds me of the celeb baby [name]Bandit[/name] [name]Lee[/name]…
