Names from my son's daycare

Thought i’d share the names from my son’s new daycare – these are from the two groups of babies, so they probably range from 7 weeks up to a year or so . . . I was impressed overall, and there’s only one repeat.

[name]William[/name]
[name]George[/name]
[name]Will[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
Kelland
Hawkins
[name]Mason[/name]
[name]Elyse[/name]
[name]Charlie[/name] (mine)
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Isabella[/name]
[name]Miller[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]David[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Addie[/name]

With a few notable exceptions, these babies have very traditional names! I’m surprised! In my son’s infant daycare a year ago, there were many, many more creative or trendy names. Those I can remember are:

[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Addison[/name] (g)
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] (g)
[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Madison[/name]
[name]Mia[/name]

Yes, the girls outnumbered the boys by a lot!

There’s also:

[name]Ray[/name]
[name]Samantha[/name]

I missed those this morning. Yes, these are very traditional, with exceptions appearing to be surnames (or maybe just surname-names). The daycare is a new one associated with an upscale private school which might explain the lack of diversity in naming . . . our other kids go to public school and there are some VERY interesting and creative names over there!
