Lately I’ve been feeling quite nostalgic and remembering the olden days of Nameberry… and I got to thinking there used to be some really lovely names that used to be so well loved on here, but they fell by the wayside (as many names do, I suppose!). Beatrice, Jasper, Theodore, and Clara will never go out of Nameberry’s style… but would you consider using any of these from Nameberry’s yesteryear? I know I’ve been here longer than most berries, but what are some lovelies you would love to see come back into style on here? This feels very nostalgic haha!! Not sure that I remember every name on your list from when I joined in 2016, but I definitely used to see Allegra, Alouette, Anouk, Clarimond, Maeva, Tove, Alaric, Dashiell and Oleander more often! I’d argue Rupert, Percy and Hero are still going strong. I still love Anouk and Clarimond and recommend them a lot
One that I feel like I used to see all the time and don’t anymore is Saskia! And Madelief also used to be more popular.

I remember when some of these were big on Nameberry! A lot of them predate my time here, though.

Realistically, I would use [name_f]Angharad[/name_f] (has long been on my list), [name_f]Branwen[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], and [name_f]Maud[/name_f] (a family name) for girls. (Louisa and [name_f]Helen[/name_f] were the two middles I gave my RL daughters.)
For boys, [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] (prefer this spelling), [name_m]Bertram[/name_m] (family name), [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]Crispin[/name_m], and [name_m]Ivor[/name_m] (as opposed to Ivar).

Especially [name_f]Clarimond[/name_f] (the same meaning as the name of one of the professors who currently mentor me in college, so I declared that her [name_f]English[/name_f] name would be this) and [name_f]Illyria[/name_f] (I used to have [name_f]Illyria[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] in my signature back when NB supported those, might have had her with another name in the combo, I don’t remember right now) - my heart skipped a beat when I saw these two!

tbh I should’ve been more clear in my OP - some of these were popular on the baby name site I was on before Nameberry - [name_f]Joliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Aubrey[/name_f] for a boy I first came across on a name website run by Nickolodeon back when I was in college, but I love that I’ve seen [name_f]Aubrey[/name_f] quite a bit here too! [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] I’m wondering if I need to add to my own list, I always liked him and love the nn [name_m]Dash[/name_m], but he was just everywhere lol. Now that he’s not… he’s looking real attractive lol.

I remember one berry in particular who had a [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] and then used Flynn… maybe [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] [name_m]Elliot[/name_m]? I always thought [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] were perfect together! I think it was a place name of a [name_f]French[/name_f] saint, [name_f]Therese[/name_f]? I’m not Catholic so I’m not too familiar with it but it seemed so fun. [name_f]Aurembiaix[/name_f] was another -x ending girls’ name that was EVERYWHERE at one point. I think there’s still a berry with this on her list (maybe @GreenEyes375?), it always makes me think of vintage Nameberry hahaha.
