I love the name [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], but I would want it to be short for a longer name. I don’t love Ginevra/Virginia which I think are the two most common ways to get there. Some options I like are
But for the first two, I also like the other nn options which also feel more natural to them (Georgiana “Georgie” and [name_f]Eugenie[/name_f] “Genie”) and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] isn’t my all time favorite.
Let me know if you can think of other names [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] can be short for!
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f] is one of my favorites, as is [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]! [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] is another beauty, long form of [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] used by the HP character!
Sorry, just noticed you don’t like [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]. They weren’t pink so I didn’t notice them! Perhaps [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (a stretch but so cute) or [name_f]Ginnifer[/name_f]?
In addition to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], there’s the variation [name_f]Genavie[/name_f], which has the ‘ee’ ending built in.
[name_f]Eugina[/name_f]
[name_f]Ginata[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianna[/name_f] / [name_u]Gianni[/name_u]
[name_f]Giacintha[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianina[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianoula[/name_f]
[name_f]Giovanna[/name_f]
[name_u]Gionni[/name_u]
Italian names offer lots of options containing [name_f]Gia[/name_f] and [name_u]Gio[/name_u].
