Names "Kitty" could be a nickname for?

I wanted names where Kitty’s more of a stretch-nickname. So nothing that begins with [name_f]Cat[/name_f], [name_f]Kat[/name_f] or [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and other variations, but I wanted more options too.

[name_m]Even[/name_m] if it takes a lot to get there, it’s okay, I just want it to make some sense. I read another thread on here that suggested [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] which I love, but I’m not sure how it’d get to that. Also, this is an informal nickname, so no worries on that front!

This is a tough one! Some ideas…
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Tikva[/name_f]
[name_f]Kristen[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] (kitty as in tabby cat)
[name_f]Ekaterina[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Minka[/name_f]
[name_f]Milka[/name_f]

The only direct one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned is [name_f]Katarina[/name_f]! But I think [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] is one of those nicknames that could work with almost any name! [name_m]Just[/name_m] as a cute little pet name!

Thank you! I would use it as a normal nickname but I’d also like to have some connection to their first name. I really love [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], it’s my first choice right now!

Love it

Kirrily is a quirky favourite of mine, but I’m not sure it fits the cultural crossover you’re going for. Katarina or Katalina would be gorgeous!

In Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina, Kitty is a nickname for Ekaterina so Katarina definitely works and doesn’t feel like too much of a stretch to me.

I also adore Katya or Katinka as a nickname for Katarina.

Yes! I actually love the nickname [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] because of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] Karenina and thought of [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] from [name_f]Ekaterina[/name_f].
