Hey, y’all. Ive been thinking about this name since my MIL said it was one of her favorites (she never used it.) I already have Amalia, Amaryllis, Amias, and Ambrose on my list, so I’d like something different. Like something longer, and I’d prefer it if it didn’t start with an A. I don’t really know what I’m asking for, except what names feel like Amy to you?
Edit: I think I should say that I would totally use Amy, except that my husband finds it “weird.”
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_u]Arlie[/name_u]
[name_f]Elisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] could be friends And you can’t get much longer
This is a tough question!
How do you see [name_f]Amy[/name_f]? Is she glamorous or sleek or spunky or something else?
I know it starts with an A, but I’ve always thought [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] nn [name_f]Amy[/name_f] would be cool! [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] feels like [name_f]Amy[/name_f] to me…searching for longer names that do not start with A but have [name_f]Amy[/name_f] vibes…
Names you could probably use [name_f]Amy[/name_f] as a nickname [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
Sammy/ [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]
[name_f]Tammy[/name_f]
Names that feel like [name_f]Amy[/name_f] to me are either 80/90’s names or short names
@MeganJoy Maya is a great Amy replacement and I definitely find it spunky but very feminine! @EdgeOfTheMeadow I have an aunt Christina and I’ve always thought she had a pretty name! Jasmine, Marina, and Marcella definitely give me Amy vibes @Greyblue I love so many of these suggestions!! Mabel, Zara, Gemma, Mara, Misty, Holly, Annabeth, and Josie all feel very “Amy” to me. @snowmaiden Thank you I’ve never seen Laramie before its beautiful! Would you pronounce it lar-uh-mee? @Ehrob1 I love Amity and Cara and I have them on my list!! Leah is one of my favorite nicknames for girls and it definitely reminds me of Amy. I would definitely use Sara, Megan, Lauren, and Katie IRL but they were vetoed but they definitely work in place of Amy! @Victory55 Masie, Sadie, and Emery feel a lot like Amy!
@Shits_Giggles my name is [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] and victorian names and 80s/90s names are by far my favorite eras of inspiration! I love the direction you took!
