So I thought I had the perfect girls name, until I realized that the initials would spell out something fairly crude. I want to honor my mother’s middle name when I have a little girl. It’s [name]Christine[/name], but I don’t like [name]Christina[/name]. I’ve thought of [name]Christa[/name], but that doesn’t work well with the first name I want ([name]Susannah[/name]). Can you berries help me?
If you want to avoid unfortunate initials, then you’d be wise to either use a short form of [name]Christine[/name] or [name]Christina[/name], such as [name]Tina[/name], [name]Christy[/name], [name]Chrissy[/name] or [name]Stina[/name], a variation such as [name]Christabel[/name].
I know this takes away from the class, but you could do [name]Kristine[/name] with a ‘k’.
Have you considered [name]Christelle[/name]? [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Christelle[/name]?
What about:
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Kirsten[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Justine[/name]
I’m confused.
Is [name]Christine[/name] the name that you wanted to use but found the initial unfortunate (in which case I don’t get how [name]Christa[/name], etc. helps) or is it a 2nd name because you’ve discarded the unfortunate-initial-name altogether and C is actually fine?
The flow of [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Christine[/name] with other initials:
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Justine[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joelle[/name]
The name would be [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Marielle[/name] [name]Christine[/name] and our last name begins with B. SMCB. Some people use smc like smd on the internet. And the “b” could stand for b*tch. But I don’t think the name flows as well with [name]Christine[/name] in front of [name]Marielle[/name] in the name. I do like the suggestions of [name]Kathleen[/name] and [name]Delphine[/name].
What does smc/smcb stand for?
lol, that’s what I’m wondering. I’ve been on forums and the internet since the early 90’s and I’ve never heard of it.
I just looked it up, and wow, yea, I guess I’ve been frequenting nicer groups.
It’s not a nice phrase, but I hardly think anyone would connect the two, except for rude teenagers who spend too much time on the Anonymous website.
I’m sure there are millions of people with the initials SMC who have never even come across the issue.
But I suppose if it’s something that really worries the OP, then it’s up to her.
You really think so? Hmm. I really do love the name, I’m not pregnant yet so I still have time. It really bothered me, but I’ve been asking around and I’m getting the same consensus. I still will probably use a variation for [name]Christine[/name], since [name]Marielle[/name] is a variation of my so’s mother’s middle name.
can you stomach a spelling like [name]Kristine[/name] or [name]Kristina[/name]? i like [name]Kirsten[/name] or [name]Kristen[/name] too, or [name]Karina[/name].
SO’s sister is named [name]Kristina[/name], so I’d never use that lol. I do really like [name]Karina[/name], and also [name]Kristen[/name]. I might use the variation [name]Cristen[/name] to honor my mother, and put it in front of [name]Marielle[/name]. I just don’t think [name]Christine[/name] sounds very good in front of [name]Marielle[/name]. Thanks for the suggestions.
