I have loved and looked at baby name lists for years, now that I finally have a baby girl on the way I am having difficulty feeling a connection with any names.
I have always adored the name Olive, but something about it just isn’t sitting quite right with me for this little one.
Another name we have seriously considered is Winnie.
Yesterday I was watching a YouTube video, and somebody mentioned Felicity as a name with the nick name of Flick, which I adore. I just don’t know how this was never on my radar before! I don’t feel like it really fits with other names that I have liked, so now I’m wondering… are there other names that I have totally missed that are similar?
I don’t know how to categorize names that we like, but they are typically vintage names with two syllables. Lately I’ve really been into nicknames as first names if that helps at all.
Names I always associate with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] include [name_f]Amity[/name_f] and [name_f]Verity[/name_f], for the obvious similarities in sound and word name-ness. Others I connect with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] … All really old names that have a vintage feel but also something a bit modern and kickarse about them.
I’m a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and I honestly don’t think there’s any names that feel exactly like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. I think these names make good sibling names though…
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] ( my favourite)
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

[name_f]Prudence[/name_f]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariella[/name_f]
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]
These all give me a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] vibe
[name_f]My[/name_f] sister has a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] with sisters [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f]. She also loved [name_f]Lily[/name_f] but didn’t use it.

I love your style of naming! [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are all beautiful, more vintage and old fashioned names. I’ve never thought of using [name_f]Flick[/name_f] for [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], but I love it.
