So, [name_m]Guy[/name_m] is my surname, and my mother recently brought up me giving this name as a first or middle of I have a boy. I’d just like to note here, I’m still several years away from having children, but I enjoy thinking about names. I know using [name_m]Guy[/name_m] would mean a lot to her, as I remember her first mentioning me calling my son [name_m]Guy[/name_m] when I was about 6 (to which I responded that that would be silly, because his name would be [name_m]Guy[/name_m] [name_m]Guy[/name_m]). Now that I’m enjoying thinking about possible honour names I could use, I’m wondering if you have any suggestions of names that either include [name_m]Guy[/name_m], or sound similar, that could be used as a middle name?
[name_m]Guido[/name_m] is a variant, and I think it’s fab!
[name_m]Gaetan[/name_m], [name_m]Gaius[/name_m] or Argyll/[name_m]Argyle[/name_m] also spring to mind.
Ooh, I quite like [name_m]Gaius[/name_m]. I actually have [name_m]Caius[/name_m] on my list, so it’s similar to that. Also reminds me of [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]. Also, I love the meaning “to rejoice”, as it could also work as an honour for my grandmother [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]. I’m not sure it works with any of my top boys names in my signature, but I’ve added it to my list to see if it can grow on me more.
[name_m]Gaius[/name_m] is a great suggestion!
[name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_m]Giles[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_u]Jai[/name_u]
[name_u]Gray[/name_u]
The first name that came to my mind was [name_m]Gui[/name_m] (nickname for [name_m]Guilherme[/name_m]/[name_m]Guillermo[/name_m]), but I don’t think that’s usable in english. I like the suggestions of [name_m]Gaius[/name_m], [name_u]Gray[/name_u] and [name_m]Caius[/name_m]. What about:
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m]
Gualter
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m]
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Gunther[/name_m]
[name_u]Gene[/name_u]
[name_u]Glen[/name_u]
[name_m]Iago[/name_m]
