We have a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]… but it’s our dogs name. Should that matter? My husband suggested changing our dogs name to [name_f]Linda[/name_f]…
Any other names that might fit our sibset?
I would love to have a different first letter than R and C. And would love a different ending as well. Short, easy to pronounce, old lady names :)… go!
We have an [name_f]Alice[/name_f] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and are considering [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] if this baby is a girl! I’m not sure I could have 2 [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]'s is the house and changing your dog’s name could be confusing. We also are thinking about [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. You could also try the Name [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] tool on nameberry.
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Nina[/name_f]! But is that as classic as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but it’s [name_f]Clara[/name_f]’s middle name… what about [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]? Is that too fancy compared to my girls names?
I like the suggestion of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], too! But it feels like it wouldn’t age well.
I tend to agree that changing the dog’s name is probably not the best call, though [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is perfect! I was going to suggest [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] until I found out you already had a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and would prefer to stick with unique initials. For what it’s worth, I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] does age just fine.
What about these (sorry for repeats):
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are my favourites with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
My first thought for a sister to [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] was [name_u]Abby[/name_u], and I think it is my best thought. Other ideas:
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Bess[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_u]Marion[/name_u]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Pauline[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Therese[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
What about [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. It is a variant of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but different enough from your 4 footed pet. It fits in with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], clara and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but my husbands not a fan. Also love [name_f]Grace[/name_f]! But is that still super popular? [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is great but is it too long compared to my girls short names? [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u], and that would be our pick but my husbands sister already used it. Any more thoughts on [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] would be great! Thanks so much for all your help!!!
Though [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a bit longer, I like it a lot with the other two names.
Here are some other suggestions, trying not to repeat first initial or endings…
I think [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a really natural fit with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. Girly, classic, romantic but not too frilly. Did you say why you can’t use [name_f]Nora[/name_f]? That also seems like a great idea.
Have you considered [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]??
It’s a little longer but not overly so.
It’s classic and sweet but not too frilly. Different ending to your other girls too
I think [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] would be great. They would each have a different number of syllables and it fits stylistically. From others I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I’ll add [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
Why not use [name_f]Nora[/name_f]? I actually have a [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] now, and am pregnant with girl #3. We seem to have very similar style in names! Our list includes:
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is darling with your girls names! The length doesn’t stand out as “off” at all, I think it works perfectly. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is also darling.
