I just found out I am pregnant with my 3rd baby!!! DH like [name]Poppy[/name]. He likes the upbeat spunk and i think the Y ending. WE cannot use [name]Poppy[/name] as a very close friend of mine has already used it. Can you think of names that are in the same style as [name]Poppy[/name]. DH other favorite is [name]Clementine[/name].
names we like;
teddy; as nn or full. I dont like theodora ant other full names to get teddy?
[name]Indie[/name]: as a nn or full
These might not all scream ‘[name]Poppy[/name]’ to you, but I think they have elements of [name]Poppy[/name] in them - you just need to find which element you like best and roll with it! For example, [name]Belle[/name], [name]Eva[/name], [name]Giselle[/name], and [name]Juliet[/name] have that romantic, feminine image that [name]Poppy[/name] has. [name]Cleo[/name], [name]Kaia[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Romy[/name], and [name]Tess[/name] have that spunky, youthful energy that [name]Poppy[/name] has. [name]Flora[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Stella[/name], and [name]Viola[/name] have a quirky classic quality that [name]Poppy[/name] has. [name]Anais[/name] and [name]Delia[/name] really sum up [name]Poppy[/name] for me, in a different way - they are modern yet classic, spunky yet elegant, and feminine yet understated. Good luck with your search!
These are the exact names i thought of when DH said [name]Poppy[/name]! lol I do really like [name]Ruby[/name] but I already now a couple of [name]Ruby[/name]'s so it makes the name less special to me. Also my [name]SIL[/name] is pregnant with a girl and [name]RUby[/name] is on their short list (I introduced them to the name) they would not mind if i use it if they go for another name but it just feels like their name now. [name]Daisy[/name] is cute but its a little too country for me. Thanx for your suggestions.
[name]Anais[/name]- I [name]LOVE[/name] this name and wanted to use if for my first daughter but i am worried about pronunciation issues
[name]Cleo[/name]- like this one it seems to bridge the GAp btwn [name]Clementine[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name].
[name]Flora[/name]- I like this one but [name]Flora[/name] Coffin not sure if that works
[name]Ivy[/name]- I forgot about this one will mention to DH
[name]Juliet[/name]- nice but not special enough
I like many of you suggestions. I think DH wants a very upbeat name. For me its very important that it not be popular but also have history i don’t want a made up name. thank you
mei mei thank you for a great list! many of my faves are on this list!!!
[name]Juniper[/name]- nn juno? love
[name]Penelope[/name]- could i use [name]Posey[/name] as a nn or do u think its too close to poppy?
[name]Tallulah[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name] but my daughter is [name]LILA[/name] (lee lah) so the sound is too similar
[name]Matilda[/name]- like but too common
[name]Olive[/name]- really like but [name]Olive[/name] COffin not good. I have been into O names like [name]Opal[/name], [name]Oceana[/name] and odette
[name]Zinnia[/name]- this is THE name for me but DH not convinced and i kind of do NOT want another A eneding
[name]Violet[/name]- love but too pop
Okay, so you’ve got a [name]Lila[/name] and what is your other child’s name? And the last name is Coffin? [name]Peppy[/name], feminine, and unusual? You got it!
I think [name]Anais[/name] fits the name of the game, but you might run into pronunciation issues. [name]Do[/name] you face that already with [name]Lila[/name]'s name, considering some might want to say that as ‘LIE-luh’ instead of ‘[name]LEE[/name]-luh’? Anyway, it is a fun one! And, I don’t mind [name]Flora[/name] Coffin, but it does sort of sound like a floral coffin…
[name]Aviva[/name]
[name]Chiara[/name]
[name]Dasha[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]India[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Penny[/name]
[name]Pippa[/name]
[name]Rory[/name] - Or as a nickname for [name]Aurora[/name]!
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Sela/name
[name]Tatum[/name]
[name]Zora[/name]
Hello [name]Lemon[/name],
Yes we do have to correct many people with [name]Lila[/name]'s name we say leelah and my sons name Mir” pronounced kind of like ME Row. [name]Both[/name] are spanish names so are pronounced the spanish was. I love [name]Esme[/name] but i already know a few esme’s and feel it will only get more pop w the twilight stuff. I like [name]INDIE[/name] a lot, not not a fan of [name]India[/name]. [name]Do[/name] u think [name]Indie[/name] can stand alone? What other full names can i use to have [name]Indie[/name] as a nn? [name]Indigo[/name], [name]Indiana[/name], [name]Indira[/name] and what else? [name]How[/name] do u feel about [name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Plum[/name]? thanx [name]Meryl[/name]
Oh, I just think [name]Esme[/name] would be too perfect with [name]Lila[/name] and Miro! Too bad you already know a few, and that it’s a Twilight name on the rise…
[name]Indie[/name] would be a cute name with [name]Lila[/name] and Miro, and [name]India[/name] is my favorite. But, you could use [name]Indah[/name], an Indonesian name meaning “pretty.” I happen to live close to [name]Indiana[/name], so [name]Indy[/name] just always reminds me of [name]Indiana[/name] and Indianapolis. [name]Penelope[/name] called [name]Plum[/name]? Hm, I’m not sold. I love [name]Penelope[/name] so much, but it feels a little long next to [name]Lila[/name] and Miro. And, why not use [name]Penny[/name] or [name]Poppy[/name] as nicknames? I’ve never understood the link between [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Plum[/name], but maybe it is just me!
More names! [name]Love[/name] these with [name]Lila[/name] and Miro…
Dang, I had too much stuff I wanted to post, but am forgetting it all! I think I need a notepad for this one.
I don’t think [name]Posey[/name] is too close to [name]Poppy[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are adorable.
I was also going to suggest [name]Pepper[/name] (probably as a nickname for something).
I also agree that “[name]Indy[/name]” reminds me of the [name]Indy[/name] 500 and that sort of thing. I do love [name]Lemon[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Indah[/name], though.
I think [name]Nola[/name] is cute, and has the same feel as [name]Poppy[/name] for me, although this may be to close to [name]Lila[/name] for you.
