A friend of mine is going through a tricky pregnancy; she was talking about looking for names that mean faith, as in certainty or trust, rather than religious believing.
I was trying to think of other meanings or names that would symbolise that positive feeling that things will work out, I would love to hear any suggestions.
To try to get more answers I will also post this on the boys names & babys names forums; apologies for repeats.
I had answer a similar post to this not long ago. Maybe these might spark some interest. Other ideas might include:
[name]David[/name] - “beloved”
[name]Malachi[/name] - “my messenger” /“angel”
[name]Victoria[/name], [name]Victor[/name], or [name]Vincent[/name] - could have meaning in your ultimate victory and strength of having a child
Blessed names -
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] -(also nice because it can mean “traveller” since you mention the journey that you have had to make)
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Winifred[/name]
[name]Asher[/name]
[name]Benedict[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Eamon[/name] -Irish variation of [name]Edmund[/name]
[name]Edmund[/name]
[name]Edric[/name]
[name]Edward[/name]
[name]Simon[/name] (means “he has heard” which you could interpret as your prayers having been heard and answered in this child)
Strength names -
[name]Alastriona[/name] - Irish fem. version of [name]Alexander[/name] (al-as-TREE-na)
[name]Treasa[/name] (Irish Gaelic)
[name]Valeria[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Angus[/name] - Irish - “one strength” - I love this one for you.
[name]Conall[/name] (“strong wolf” in Gaelic -might work as an Irish middle name)
[name]William[/name]
