I really want to do a middle name that means Wise. My husband said we could just use the word Wise as a name, but that just seems odd to me. Seems like a job for the berries . Also would be curious if Wise is actually a legitimate name or not?
Probably not with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (too Hobbit for me). [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_u]Sage[/name_u] would be my alternative choice.
We are very big [name_m]Tolkien[/name_m] fans but it was a bit too much for me . I do have [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] on my list! So far itās been my favorite Iām assuming āBrave Councilā could be synonymous with āWise Councilā but I had a hard time tracing the etymology. I am really loving [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] too for some reason.
I second the suggestion of [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is really cute. I would also like to suggest: [name_u]Noble[/name_u].
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Alvis[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Cato[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Wisdom[/name_u] (maybe a bit less LotR than Wise?)
I think Wise makes a great middle name! Iāve considered this to honor a family surname. Agree that with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], it is a bit too LOTR (though what a great character!). I agree with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] - such a cool name.
[name_m]Frode[/name_m] came to mind⦠Itās a Norse name meaning āwiseā and itās derived from the same source as [name_m]Frodo[/name_m]. But it may also be a little too much LotR⦠What about [name_u]Cato[/name_u]? It means āall knowingā.
