My newly four year old told me he will name his kids [name]Logan[/name] and [name]Jennifer[/name]. [name]How[/name] about yours?
They aren’t my kids, but ones I care for. The boy just told me yesterday he wants to change his name to [name]Isaiah[/name] and he is also fond of the name [name]Gordon[/name] and [name]Junior[/name], and his sister names all her toys either [name]Callie[/name], [name]Carla[/name] or [name]Carly[/name].
haha that’s a lot better then when my kids were that age, my son wanted a boy named batman. now my son’s (age7) fave name is [name]Duncan[/name]. my daughter(age9) fave name is [name]Elissia[/name], and other frilly names.
My 5 year old, [name]Isabella[/name], is actually really into names. She regularly points out her like or dislike for names she encounters. I guess you could even say that she named our younger daughter, [name]Vanessa[/name]. She was obsessed with the name [name]Vanessa[/name] for a while before I got pregnant. At some point all of her dolls and stuffed animals were named [name]Vanessa[/name]. Whenever we would ask her what we should name her little sister, she would insist that her name had to be [name]Vanessa[/name]. I guess it kind of grew on us and we couldn’t see this baby as anything other than a [name]Vanessa[/name]. Recently, [name]Isabella[/name] came home and told me that she wants a baby brother named [name]Meyer[/name]. She doesn’t have a [name]Meyer[/name] in her class, so I have no idea where that name came from.
I don’t have kids, but my younger sister told me the other day that [name]Hayden[/name] is her favorite name for a girl.
My 8 yo nephew wants kids names [name]Marcus[/name], [name]Carl[/name], and [name]Abby[/name].
I have totally turned my kids into name lovers. Here are there lists for baby #4:

My children are too young to name things (Although [name]Hazel[/name] recently got a bear and she named it Boo.) but my nieces and nephews have shown interest in names.
My 7 year old nephew likes the names [name]Timmy[/name] & [name]Phineas[/name] for boys (wonder where he got [name]Phineas[/name] from, eh? ) and [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] for girls. He has a ‘crush’ who is called [name]Olivia[/name] so I think thats why
My 5 year old niece has dolls called Finny, [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Bobby[/name] & [name]Jake[/name]. Pretty cute.
I don’t have kids, but my twelve year old sister currently wants to name her kids [name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]. I’m so proud
I asked my boys, who aren’t really into names ,lol. My 12 year old said Dayshawn for a boy and [name]Kaitlyn[/name] for a girl. My almost 8 year old said [name]Rayshawn[/name] for a boy and [name]Emma[/name] for a girl.
I babysat my niece & nephew again this morning and with this thread in mind, I asked them what they’d call their baby if they had one. My 7 year old nephew said [name]Oliver[/name] or [name]Megan[/name] and my 5 year old niece said [name]Barbie[/name] & [name]Ken[/name]. (haha!)
My daughter is very into names for the new baby, she likes place names, not all of them very nice (shakes head disapprovingly). She suggests: [name]Paris[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Indiana[/name] and [name]Arizona[/name]. [name]Arizona[/name] is really growing on me! And then she likes [name]Oslo[/name], [name]Tennessee[/name] and Moscow for a boy… she has a map by her bed. She also like [name]Evangeline[/name] and [name]Evelina[/name], her favourite bear is called Evaliana…
My son really like [name]Max[/name], [name]Mads[/name], and Pandabear apparently, more accurately fwuffy panbear…
naomi - [name]Arizona[/name] is my daughters middle name A while after she was born I considered switching it to [name]Arizona[/name] [name]Fable[/name] because I love it so much but we decided not too. I’m glad we didnt now but I still love [name]Arizona[/name]!
F&A name dolls. That’s about it. We’ve had dolls called [name]Timmy[/name], [name]York[/name], [name]Ollie[/name], [name]Spike[/name], [name]Wendy[/name], [name]Maddie[/name], [name]Kate[/name] & [name]Pippa[/name]. I think they get them from TV shows because we don’t know any one called any of these names! They’re only almost 3, too. I’m proud of their naming abilities so far!
- They also have a painting of 3 cats on their wall that used to be my grandma’s but we hung it in their room because the colours match with their theme and my nephew named them [name]Polly[/name], [name]Molly[/name] & [name]Holly[/name]. Cute.
A little boy named [name]Evan[/name] in my kindergarten class said he wants to name his son Leven as it rhymes with eleven and [name]Evan[/name]. When asked what his daughters name would be he said he’d name her [name]Sarah[/name].
I don’t have kids, but I just asked my twelve-year-old brother. He got all embarrassed and wouldn’t answer haha. :))
When my little brother was little (5ish?) we would play house and his kids were always [name]John[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name]. My other brother is named [name]Sam[/name], he’d 12 and says his first daughter will be named [name]Samantha[/name]
My 4-year old niece is obsessed with the names [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]
My little sister (aged 11) likes [name]Lauren[/name] [name]Alouette[/name] and wants to name her daughter that I can up with [name]Alouette[/name] though. For a boy she doesn’t care she also likes [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Vera[/name] (which is a cousins ex girlfriend). My brother doesn’t show an interest.
LOL that made me laugh so much. [name]Dom[/name] doesn’t have favorite names per se (except he loves [name]Mordecai[/name] at the moment) but he always asks me what everyone’s name is and then either says “That a nice name” or is silent. I’ve learned not to ask “Isn’t that a nice name?” if he doesn’t answer because that means he doesn’t like it (he generally asks when we are checking out at the store so I’d hate to accidentally offend anyone) haha. For fun I like to ask him his opinion on random names, and sometimes I read the interesting ones from movie credits to him. He’ll give straight answers and say yes he likes them or no he doesn’t but silly me I haven’t been keeping a list to see if any of them are consistent. =]
When I was pregnant, DD suggested all the top ten most common girl names. She just came up with them & had no idea how popular they were.
My son suggested names of Pokemon.
So my belly was dubbed “[name]Sophie[/name] Pikachu.”
(The baby is named [name]Charlotte[/name].)
