Are there any names you like because of the character who wears it? Or names you see in a different light because of its namesake? I am starting to pile a list up of names I love because I love the character who’s wearing it.

Names do tend to grow on me if I like the character, however, they don’t tend to stick around and I fall out on love with them when I’m not completely “obsessed” with a tv show anymore.
I truly think that stuff like this speaks a lot about a person (their favourite characters) so it’s always interesting to me. 
I completely forgot about [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] ([name_f]Calliope[/name_f] Torres) and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (Mr and Mrs [name_m]Smith[/name_m], my favourite!). I loved [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] before I began watching HTGAWM but her character made me love it more, too. I also just loved hearing [name_f]Callie[/name_f] Torres’ full first name used, it sounded so beautiful. Iphegenia is her middle name and I think that’s awesome too.

Most of my favorite Thrones characters have been mentioned already, so I gotta give it to Joscelin Verreuil!! Before my introduction to that character, I never, ever would’ve thought of Joscelin or [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] as a male option. Now I’m having trouble switching it back to a girls’ name in my head. I’m also looking at [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] and Phedre differently. They probably won’t wind up on my top five, but they’re definitely on my radar now.
Have also developed a newfound affection for [name_u]Rey[/name_u] since [name_u]December[/name_u]. 
And then there’s miss Aurra Sing, the badass bounty hunter in orange.
Watching [name_m]How[/name_m] I Met Your Mother made me love the name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] even more, Ted is such a sweetheart. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] from HIMYM reaffirmed a name I used to love, mostly because of [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] too. (I have a ridiculous amount of names that I love because of book characters, but this seems to be more about TV)
Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u] has cemented quite a few names in my favourites too - [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] Fellowes definitely knows how to write brilliant, strong female characters. A few names that are male that I never really liked much - [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Robert[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] - have moved up a little because of the characters with them too.
I’m currently rewatching Gossip Girl and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]/[name_m]Nate[/name_m] have made me like them a little more. Same with [name_u]Penny[/name_u]/[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] because of The Big Bang [name_m]Theory[/name_m].
I think characters that have attributes you like can definitely make you like a name more, or at least change your opinion of it - I know a lot of my favourite names are influenced by my favourite characters that have impacted upon me.
