I think I’d consider potentially [name_m]Ozias[/name_m] as a surprise Top 100 entry for boys and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] as a possible (maybe less surprising) additions for girls!

[name_f][/name_f]

But I can definitely see [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Navy[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_f]Hallie[/name_f], [name_f]Wrenley[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] in the Top 100; along with [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Sonny[/name_m], [name_m]Romeo[/name_m], [name_m]Banks[/name_m], [name_m]Muhammad[/name_m], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Arlo[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

Maybe it’s just my UK perspective, but I’m not sure about [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Zion[/name_m], [name_m]Adriel[/name_m], [name_f]Palmer[/name_f] and [name_f]Samara[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] continuing to rise for so long [name_f][/name_f]- but I could be very wrong [name_f][/name_f]- and I can understand why they might!

Intrigued to know what you’d all place at number 1/2 for girls if not [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and Violet!! I’m thinking [name_f]Mia[/name_f] might[name_f][/name_f] one day be a contender? [name_m]Or[/name_m] even [name_f]Luna[/name_f]?

[name_f]Abby[/name_f] Sandel (appellationmountain.net) has mentioned why she thinks [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] may not reach #1[name_f][/name_f] in the US [name_f][/name_f]- the name doesn’t work as well in Spanish and thus many Latinx families (or those who are around lots of Spanish speakers and want a name that’s easy on them as well as [name_f]English[/name_f] speakers) may be avoiding the name.

[name_f][/name_f]

If you look up [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] here[name_f][/name_f], the hypothesis seems to hold up (especially with Mexican Spanish). The three states where the name is used the least are all bordering Mexico, and northern [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_f]England[/name_f] (the area with the fewest Mexican-Americans) has the highest rate of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] use.

ooh that’s a really good point!

I was surprised to see [name_m]Asher[/name_m] at 18. I really don’t think it will continue to rise- I see it more slowly climbing down as “trendy” folks get tired of it and then hanging out in the 50’s or even 80’s for a decade or so. I totally see [name_m]Leo[/name_m] in the top 10!!! I think all the international names like [name_f]Maya[/name_f] etc will continue to rise

@mariel1692[name_f][/name_f] Ooh that’s an interesting perspective on [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- it’s not quite so popular where I am, so it doesn’t feel tired/trendy here [name_f][/name_f]- but I like that idea of it having a quieter staying power.

[name_f][/name_f]

Agree with you about Leo!!

For the girls, I can see [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] in the top 100, especially because they are all much more common in other English-speaking nations. [name_f]Samara[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] all surprised me. Other names I can see entering the top 100 are [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], and [name_f]Esme[/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

Regarding the #1[name_f][/name_f] name, I think it’s [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], rather than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], that will replace [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] because it is a natural successor to [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] (and has the syllabic pattern of Olivia). I can also see [name_f]Violet[/name_f] entering the top 10 as an [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] alternative, if not the top 5.

[name_f][/name_f]

For boys, I can see [name_m]August[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m] reentering as revival names alongside spiritual/place names [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Zion[/name_m], [name_m]Muhammad[/name_m], and [name_m]Milan[/name_m]. I can also see [name_m]Archie[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Warren[/name_m], [name_m]Ellis[/name_m], [name_m]Charlie[/name_m], and [name_m]Callum[/name_m] entering the top 100.

[name_f][/name_f]

It surprised me how [name_m]Everett[/name_m], [name_m]Axel[/name_m], and [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] are slated to leave the top 100 because I feel as if they have not ranked long enough. I feel the same about [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivian[/name_f] for the girls.
