Names of The Gods

We love the Greek God names…
Kronos
[name]Morpheus[/name]
[name]Perseus[/name]
[name]Titan[/name]
Tritan
[name]Zeus[/name]
Zetes

But we also love Norse God names like
Dagr
Fitch
Freyr
Jofur
Ragnarok
[name]Thor[/name]

The question is, can we mix the two? And say name our children…
[name]Thor[/name], Kronos, [name]Perseus[/name], and Freyr?
Can we mix the two?
Could we go as far to give both boys names like [name]Thor[/name] and [name]Zeus[/name]…with the reference to thunder/weather?
[name]How[/name] about the more out there names?
Any input would be great!

I personally wouldn’t mix, but I don’t think it would be taboo to do so. Here are a few others:

[name]Ajax[/name] - Greek
[name]Atlas[/name] - Greek
[name]Finn[/name] - Irish
[name]Odin[/name] - Norse
Wieland - [name]German[/name]
Wodan - [name]German[/name]
Perun - Slavic

Um why can’t you? I don’t see anything wrong with it. I look at them as strictly mythological so mixing them doesn’t faze me.

Mix and match away! I would love to see a [name]Perseus[/name] with a little brother [name]Odin[/name].

Yup. Mix and match. [name]Do[/name] it. Because why not? It’s about meaning, not origin.

think they dont go because they are from completely different languages not to mention a 2+ sibset would start to become a joke
