Names on your mind lately

[name_m]Dante[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] - Love it since it’s so difficult to find middle names that flow with [name_m]Dante[/name_m] and it literally means “enduring love”. Not sure if I’ll ever use it but I adore it.

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Uriel[/name_m] - A name combo I keep going back and forth on but recently fell back in love with it because of the flow and how regal it sounds.

Also been loving the name [name_m]Moses[/name_m] recently but afraid it’s a lot to live up to and I’m not Christian or Jewish at all.

The only girls names I’ve been gushing over recently is [name_f]Maura[/name_f].

I keep a name journal where I can write names down when I find them stuck in my head like this. Among the recent additions are [name_m]Hector[/name_m], [name_m]Vivaan[/name_m], [name_m]Foster[/name_m], and Whim.

[name_u]Sacha[/name_u], [name_m]Jacques[/name_m] & [name_m]Maxence[/name_m] for boys

[name_f]Evelyne[/name_f], [name_f]Maelys[/name_f] & [name_f]Julia[/name_f] for girls…

[name_f]Papatya[/name_f] or [name_f]Patya[/name_f] or just [name_u]Pat[/name_u] for a girl. I especially love [name_f]Patya[/name_f] alot. I also love Saruhan and [name_f]Arda[/name_f] but it reminds me Saruman and I already have Balamir which is like Faramir/Boromir tbh and I don’t want to look like a hardcore LOTR fan

[name_f]Chrysanthemum[/name_f] and [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] - I was looking into flower names recently and find that I prefer the more “out there” ones

[name_m]Fred[/name_m]/[name_u]Freddie[/name_u] - as a nickname for [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], I recently had an [name_u]Angel[/name_u] marathon for the first time (shocking as I love [name_f]Buffy[/name_f] and am such an avid fan of [name_u]Joss[/name_u] Whedon) and it just stuck

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], Hecate, and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] - I’ve been in a witchy/gothic romantica kick lately, not really sure why

Recently, I’ve become slightly obsessed with [name_u]Misha[/name_u] on a boy (combo being, currently, [name_u]Misha[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_m]Indio[/name_m] or [name_u]Misha[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f]). I think it’s absolutely brilliant and is quickly and steadily rising to the top of my list. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is a name I’ve liked in the past, but I am loving it right now.

For a girl, [name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Eira[/name_f]’ has been popping up frequently, though I’m only using at a middle name ([name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f]). [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], too, though it’s staying as a middle as well ([name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]).

[name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] are stuck in my head right now, thanks to trying to name a character. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], and [name_f]Adele[/name_f] are always on my mind, though. I’ve been mulling around [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], trying to decide if I want to add it, but I’m not sure that’s useful, since I know you have your own little [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] already. :stuck_out_tongue:

Right now I’m dreaming of:

[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] Ronen
[name_m]Abram[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Liora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]

I would use all of those on real life kids, though I don’t know that I’d want four more!

Less realistically:

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f] and [name_f]Elke[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] (but these sound like book characters to me, maybe elderly crime solving twins??? I’m not an author, so I’ll probably never get to use these)

Abant, Ankebut, Ardahan, Balkan and Saka for boys. Abant is from Abant lake in Bolu. Ankebut means spider and it is mentioned in Quran and it sounds like a badass cille name ( I love cille alot!) Ardahan is a city in Turkey - I have no connection with there - but sounds so handsome and usable sigh. Balkan means forest/green era and my family is from a Balkan country. Saka means water bringer, I just love water related names.

[name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]! Cannot stop thinking about her! Shorter names like [name_f]Calla[/name_f], [name_f]Adela[/name_f]/[name_f]Adella[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] are creeping into my mind but I still prefer [name_f]Callista[/name_f] ([name_f]Calla[/name_f]) & [name_f]Corinna[/name_f] ([name_f]Cora[/name_f]). Been thinking about [name_f]Nephele[/name_f] lately, not sure why! Also a few old favs like Esmée & [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] are creeping back.

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f]. I used to love [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] when my obsession with Orphan [name_m]Black[/name_m] was rife, and now Orphan [name_m]Black[/name_m] is returning this weekend I love her again. Lol. Not too sure with [name_f]Vera[/name_f]…

I’m contemplating [name_m]Torin[/name_m] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] right now.

I still love (x7) the nickname Bö alot, but the only names that begins with Bö are Börteçine and Börü and they both feel very very GP and unusable. Wish there was more Bö names because Bö itself isn’t usable. Wat actually Bö can be a nn for Balamir Önem too since the initials form Bö - how did I miss this??? Omg problem fixed lol.

Quite a few. :stuck_out_tongue:

[name_m]Thorin[/name_m]/[name_m]Torin[/name_m]
Tollak (MN only)

I go through periods of having a massive list of new crushes and just really being happy with my list the way it is. I’m playing around with all of these right now, and I guess we’ll see how many of them actually stick around. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been thinking about…

Boys:
I love the softer but still masculine sound of [name_m]Auryn[/name_m], especially the spelling. I’m also loving [name_u]Chase[/name_u] and [name_m]Prosper[/name_m].

Girls:
I’m recently fallen for [name_f]Zuelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], and I’m crushing on [name_f]Enya[/name_f] as well. I’ve also started to really like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I’m also debating over which selling of [name_u]Riley[/name_u] I prefer: [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Ryley[/name_u], or [name_u]Rylee[/name_u]. I’m not sure how many of these will end up on my official list, but I’m sure some will.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] and all variations of this name. This name came in as the top most popular name for my state so it has me giving it a second glance.

Also [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Anders[/name_m]. There’s something I really like about that ‘and’ sound in a name.

[name_f]Charis[/name_f]- I’ve been trying to figure out if I like it or not!
[name_f]Christine[/name_f]- I watched The Phantom of the [name_f]Opera[/name_f] a few weeks ago and fell in love with the storyline. Whenever I become attached to a story, I tend to become fond of the characters’ names, even if I’ve never liked them before. [name_f]Christine[/name_f] is one of those names!
[name_u]Zion[/name_u]- This name is super cool to me. I love the fact that it reminds me of [name_m]New[/name_m] Orleans (one of my favorite places), because during my recent visit there, there was a church about a block away from where I was staying called [name_u]Zion[/name_u] Church.
[name_m]Lowell[/name_m]- I really, really like this name, but it seems a little bit too hipster-y for me to ever use. I’m not sure. I’m conflicted.

[name_u]Corban[/name_u]! I never cared for [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] until I saw the [name_u]Corban[/name_u] spelling. Something about the name clicked with me then. I’ve tried to cross it off my list several times, but it sticks around.

This week, [name_f]Alaska[/name_f], [name_u]Marley[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] for girls and [name_u]Jules[/name_u] for boys.
