DH and I are starting to try for baby number 2. Our first has [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as her middle name for my grandmother but I would love to carry on with nature-themed middle names. Bumblebees are creatures that have been in our lives a lot and we’re thinking we’d like to honour the fluffy things in our next kid’s name.
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f] doesn’t thrill us particularly and [name_f]Bee[/name_f] seems a bit too plain. As we won’t be finding out what flavour of child we conceive, we need a variety of feminine, neutral and masculine names.

What about [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] “[name_f]Bee[/name_f]” or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] “[name_f]Bee[/name_f]”?
Also…
[name_f]Melina[/name_f] - means honey
[name_f]Melitta[/name_f] - means little bee
[name_f]Miel[/name_f] - honey in Spanish (could also spell it Mielle)
Mellona - [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] of bees
[name_f]Devora[/name_f] - stems from the Hebrew word for bee
Devri - variant of [name_f]Deborah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lissa[/name_f] - like [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Melisandre[/name_f] - Greek form of [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
[name_u]Mischa[/name_u] - Russian form of [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
You could also go for a flower name since bees like flowers.
I couldn’t find anymore boy names related to bees, but I want to second [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and Carpenter!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] or [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] are lovely too. Oh, or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]!
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
I love the previous suggestions of [name_m]Becket[/name_m], Mason and Carpenter for a boy, or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] for a girl - consider those seconded!
For a girl, I thought of [name_f]Honey[/name_f], and [name_f]Heather[/name_f] since bees love heather! For a boy maybe Buzz?
Bourdon is bumblebee in [name_u]French[/name_u]. It is a surname and a musical term (type of organ/bell). I think it would be quite dashing as a first or middle for a little boy. Kind of along the lines of other nature-y sounding boys names like [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] or [name_m]Orson[/name_m].
Plus… it’s part of the etymology for Dumbledore so you can’t go wrong there!!
Along the same lines now that I’m thinking of Dumbledore, the -dore supposedly means “flying insect,” which makes me think of [name_m]Isidore[/name_m] for boys and all the -dora names for girls. Something like Isadora Beatrix would be great.
