My boyfriend and I don’t talk names too often, but tonight he told me he’d like to use a name relating to outer space for one of our children. He studied Astronomical Physics at University and its a subject close to his heart, so while this type of name isn’t really my style I’m willing to cooperate as its important to him.

So does anyone have suggestions for both genders for names relating to outer space/ the planets/ the stars?

I love [name]Nova[/name], [name]Estelle[/name], and [name]Orion[/name]. The only names I can think of that haven’t been mentioned are [name]Sidra[/name], and [name]Aurora[/name] (for the northern lights).

You could use the name of an actual star. [name]Vega[/name], [name]Cara[/name], and [name]Carina[/name] are some that I know of for girls and [name]Perseus[/name], [name]Pollux[/name], or [name]Castor[/name] for boys. [name]Just[/name] off the top of my head.

I know a little boy named Kepler and I believe he was named for the astronomer. I always thought that is a very cool and unique name.
