Help! I have loved the name [name_f]Elise[/name_f] ever since I was a little girl, I first heard the name because it is my best friends middle name. I have secretly held this name in my heart for years, now my friend is having a daughter and naming her [name_f]Elise[/name_f] () she of course has dibs with it being a family name and her own middle name. And to be fair I never said I wanted to use it. But I am heartbroken.
I really like [name_f]Nina[/name_f] for the same reasons I like [name_f]Elise[/name_f], a little international feeling, familiar but not over used. They both feel classic. [name_f]Nina[/name_f] just doesn’t quite flow with our last name.
Other names I really like but are either in my family or over used - [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The obvious one is [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but that may be TOO similar for friends’ daughters. [name_f]Heloise[/name_f] might work. Some other ideas:
Emily
[name_f]Cecile[/name_f], [name_f]Cecile[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Delia[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]/Alayne (I usually dislike alternative spellings but for some reason I like this one)
I’m starting to like [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. I have added [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Sabine[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] to maybes.
I love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_u]Camille[/name_u] but my husband isn’t a fan.
