Hello berries. I’m going to legally change my name and I need your help. I was born [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], the name was chosen because it’s similar to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], which was my nonna’s name. I’m looking for names that have the same meaning as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or are similar to them. Can you help me?
I forgot to mention, I have a thing for literary names and old-fashioned names (from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.) And preferably uncommon names.
Another thing, it doesn’t have to be a variant of either names since I’m trying to have a name that doesn’t tie to them in spelling/pronounciation.
Hey! I think this list of Variations of Elizabeth will really help you out. They have some great ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]) options, like [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f], [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] (you might like [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f], though it’s not on the link), [name_f]Eilis[/name_f], etc.
Also, [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_f]Bethany[/name_f], [name_f]Belen[/name_f], and [name_f]Sable[/name_f] come to mind that aren’t a direct spin-off of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I hope this helps a little! You have a big choice ahead of you, for sure.
