Names that bring to mind the image of gold glitter, or glittering golden forests

I’ve become very intriguing by combing names to create an image, and lately gold has been a minor obsession to the point of wearing gold glitter nail polish daily :stuck_out_tongue:

So far the only name that fits, is [name]Aurelia[/name], but that’s a tad too obvious for my liking. [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Eden[/name] is what comes to mind for a forest of glittering gold leaves. (Such as the one in the story of the Twelve Dancing Princesses)

[name]Zarina[/name] also comes to mind, but isn’t really a favourite. Help?

[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Celestia[/name]

[name]Gilda[/name] because it means “covered with gold” and it reminds me of the term “the guilded age”

[name]Bond[/name] Girls names make me think of gold: [name]Pola[/name], Elecktra, [name]Vesper[/name], [name]Severine[/name].

Some variations of the Midas myth say he had a daughter named [name]Zoe[/name].

[name]Linden[/name] for the forrest part.

[name]Alameda[/name] is Spanish for cottonwood grove.

[name]Waverly[/name] means a meadow of quivering aspens.

First thing that comes to mind is [name]Aspen[/name]. Have you ever seen an aspen grove in the fall? The definition of a glittering golden forest

There’s [name]Marigold[/name] ofcourse, and names that relate to light or warm tones such as:

[name]Electra[/name] (the nephele of amber-lined clouds)
[name]Clementine[/name] (orange fruit)
[name]Lucia[/name]/[name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Valo[/name]/[name]Lux[/name]/[name]Nora[/name] (all mean light)
Chrysanthe (Greek for golden flower)
[name]Autumn[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Auden[/name], [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Aubrey[/name], [name]Augustina[/name] (names that begin with “Au”)
[name]Orianna[/name]

Obviously [name]Aurelia[/name], agreed. But I also like the [name]Aurielle[/name] variation.

Beside that I’m thinking about Galadriel and [name]Eleanor[/name] (LOTR used [name]Elanor[/name] as the name of a golden flower), also its other variants: [name]Lenore[/name], [name]Lenora[/name], [name]Eleanora[/name], [name]Elle[/name].

@peppersprout I love [name]Electra[/name] and [name]Linden[/name]!
@whit32 thanks so much for that reference, aspen trees really are gorgeous in [name]Autumn[/name].
@minisia [name]Lux[/name] is a good one, as is [name]Aubrey[/name], and [name]Auden[/name].
@c@29 [name]Eleanor[/name] is growin on me…I have a very pastel mental image with the name though. I really love the idea of Galadriel, but it’s a bit…grand for me. But I think a G name would be fitting, perhaps [name]Geneva[/name]?

Thank you so much everyone!

[name]Ophira[/name]
[name]Arielle[/name]

[name]Zehava[/name]
[name]Saffron[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Topaz[/name] (I did know a [name]Topaz[/name] once who was just a gorgeous girl, and I know topazes come in a lot of colours but I picture their primary one as a warm brown-y citron-y gold)
[name]Auriel[/name]

[name]May[/name] be a bit on the nose… but [name]Glimmer[/name].

[name]Orla[/name]/[name]Orlaith[/name] means golden princess.

Zenira, [name]Zenobia[/name], most of the Au- names like [name]Aurielle[/name], [name]Faline[/name], Faunella, [name]Mazarine[/name], [name]Guinevere[/name], [name]Ginevra[/name], and [name]Tiodoria[/name] for some reason.

[name]Zenobia[/name] and [name]Gilda[/name] are absolutely gold like, but [name]Zenobia[/name] in particular makes me think of civilization and possessions, not so much forest like things.

[name]Arden[/name], the beautiful forest in As You Like It.
[name]Cressida[/name] means gold, as do Chryseis. [name]Both[/name] feels like princesses running in the forest.
[name]Dana[/name]ë, the princess who was impregnated by [name]Zeus[/name] in a golden shower (with [name]Perseus[/name]). [name]Ever[/name] seen the Klimt painting or the Titian?
[name]Elanor[/name], a [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings name, it’s a flower that grows gold (and silver) flowers. Means “sun star”.
[name]Flavia[/name], “golden yellow”
[name]Forsythia[/name], the beautiful yellow flowered shrub. It is a symbol of early spring, which feels very golden forest like to me.
[name]Garnet[/name], the gemstone.
Goldberry, another [name]Lord[/name] of the rings name. Means “golden fortress”. She was a water spirit who lived in the rivers in the forest.
Hespera, “evening”. The nymph who guarded [name]Hera[/name]'s golden apple tree. Feels all golden honey dripping.
[name]Melia[/name], means “ash tree” and is derived from the word meli which means honey.
Meliantha, means “honey flower”. Also [name]Melina[/name] and [name]Melinda[/name]. And [name]Melissa[/name]; “bee”.
[name]Oriana[/name] has two meanins, one is “golden”, the other is “to rise” (as in sunrise). [name]Oriane[/name], [name]Orinda[/name], Oriande, [name]Orenda[/name].
[name]Oriel[/name], doesn’t mean anything gold related, but it feels like warm golden sunshine, beautiful pink flowers and willow trees.
Ornella, “flowering ash tree”. And it feels warm and golden.
[name]Ourania[/name] and [name]Soraya[/name] sounds like something dripping with gold for me. I see lush forests bathing in strong sunshine, which if you’re quite deep in an ancient leafy forest, will look like gold-honey.
[name]Tamar[/name], means “palm tree” and the bame belonged to a Georgian (ruling) [name]Queen[/name], which adds the gold qualities.
