Names that could work with nickname Lena/Lina

I love the name [name_f]Helene[/name_f], but I don’t think I can sell my husband on it. Been trying for a couple pregnancies now…
We both like the name [name_f]Lena[/name_f], but the middle name for this child will be [name_f]Donna[/name_f], and I just don’t know that I can get behind
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f] (rhymes with) [name_f]Cinnamon[/name_f]
The repeating -na really bothers me.

Anyone have any names that would work for the nickname [name_f]Lena[/name_f] but still sound nice with [name_f]Donna[/name_f]? I would also consider middle name [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], but I am not sure my husband will go for that. He REALLY wants to use [name_f]Donna[/name_f], and I am trying to respect that wish, though for the perfect name, maybe he would go for it.

I kind of like [name_f]Donna[/name_f] because it reminds me of 90210 :slight_smile:

My favorite is name to get [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is [name_f]Elena[/name_f]! [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f] is a little much though…

There are so many ways to get to [name_f]Lena[/name_f]/[name_f]Lina[/name_f].

[name_f]Angelina[/name_f], [name_f]Kalina[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Malena[/name_f], [name_f]Lenora[/name_f], [name_f]Alina[/name_f]…

Also, I think [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Cinnamon[/name_f] sounds fine.

Would you consider a double middle name?

That way, you could use [name_f]Lena[/name_f] & improve the flow with [name_f]Donna[/name_f].

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] is really pretty but I think [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f] is a bit much. [name_f]Malina[/name_f] is also really pretty and you could use [name_f]Lena[/name_f] as a nn. Of your combos I like [name_f]Helene[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f] the best.

I have [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lena[/name_f] on my list–I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Lena[/name_f]” [name_f]Donna[/name_f] “[name_f]Cinnamon[/name_f]” is great! A few other ideas:

I have actually considered this, but [name_f]Donna[/name_f] is my husband’s maternal grandmother, and it would only feel right combining it with another grandmother to me. Which leaves:
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f]
Or
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] Margaree (hard G) [name_f]Donna[/name_f]

Most recent daughter has [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (my maternal grandmother) for her middle.
