I really love the name [name_f]Mae[/name_f] but I don’t think it goes particularly well with my surname “[name_m]Kent[/name_m]”
Has anybody got any suggestions for names that go well with my surname?
Names I like at the moment are [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Georgina[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] if that gives you anywhere to start.
I know two people with your surname called [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] and [name_f]Hope[/name_f]. Other names I like are:
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] (MY-ah)
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
My first thought when I read the title was [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_m]Kent[/name_m], so I think that [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_m]Kent[/name_m] is perfect. [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_m]Kent[/name_m] is nice too. I think that three syllables works well. Something kind of stately, like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] [name_m]Kent[/name_m] or [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] [name_m]Kent[/name_m]. I don’t usually like [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m], but it sounds nice with [name_m]Kent[/name_m].
I agree that [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_m]Kent[/name_m] is a bit abrupt, but I think you could easily find a long form for [name_f]Mae[/name_f] that would sound nice with [name_m]Kent[/name_m]. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Marina[/name_f], or maybe even Meriwether?
But in all seriousness, I like the names you’ve listed and think they go just fine with [name_m]Kent[/name_m]. I second another’s suggestion - maybe [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] with [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for short?
