We all have them - those kids at school that made your life hell! My question is - would you use their names, or are they permanently ruined for you? Here’s my list - I don’t really like any of these names enough to use them, but I would definitely not use [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] or [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], as they are mentioned multiple times!
Primary School:
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] ([name_f]Becky[/name_f])
[name_f]Maddy[/name_f] (not sure what her full name was, probably [name_u]Madison[/name_u])
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
(The boys never gave me any trouble, but, to be honest, I didn’t really have much to do with them)
Secondary School:
Amberley
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] (same [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] from junior school)
[name_f]Mercedes[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (short for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f])
[name_u]Phil[/name_u] (short for [name_f]Philippa[/name_f])
There were others, but those were the main ones. The others mostly just looked down their noses at me. It was a rich private (all girls) school, and I was “not their kind of people”. Also, I was kind of a geek.
University:
You wouldn’t think they would be bullies at University, but there was a girl called [name_f]Katie[/name_f] who made my life very difficult in first year. From then on, I tried to avoid her, which was difficult as she was friends with all my friends!
I was never bullied, but a girl I had been friends with joined a girl gang in 8th grade and when I didn’t want to join, she threatened to beat me up if she found me walking around town alone. (Her gang was crazy, they once cornered a girl in a public bathroom, where they kicked her and burned her with cigarettes)
Anyways, her name was [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and I despised the name for a long time, though I don’t mind it now.
[name_f]Amber[/name_f], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] (so sad since I think I could love this name. But his face comes to mind whenever I think I’m over it), [name_m]Garett[/name_m], [name_u]Kari[/name_u], [name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_u]Chris[/name_u], [name_m]Jason[/name_m] (bully in school and very unpleasant ex–double whammy), [name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_f]Tammy[/name_f], [name_m]Zac[/name_m], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Carley[/name_f], [name_u]Shawn[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. Only one I really regret is [name_m]Tobias[/name_m].
I haven’t had TOO much trouble with bullying in my life, but I do remember that I never met an [name_m]Austin[/name_m] or [name_u]Andre[/name_u] that wasn’t mean.
And then there’s [name_m]Victor[/name_m] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]… not bullies exactly but I don’t know what you’d call them. Not fun people to be around.
The sad thing is, [name_m]Austin[/name_m] seems to be very popular on NB, but I have no good associations.
Oh yeah, and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. I want to like this name but UGH! Makes me angry to even think about the name, especially since they were a decent person and suddenly became very mean for no apparent reason.
Probably the worst for me because [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is such a pretty name.
I was never bullied in school, but there were definitely a few along the way with some questionable/hurtful intentions. These names are a no-go for me.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Samantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Abbie[/name_u]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] (I actually love the name [name_u]Holland[/name_u], but idk if I’d ever use it bc of the possible NN.
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]
I wasn’t bullied as a kid but there were some ‘mean girls’ who tried (and failed). Their names aren’t my style so I wouldn’t have used them anyway. The names were also popular in the 70’s/80’s, so I’ve known plenty of wonderful girls/women with the same names
The only mean boys whose names I can remember were [name_m]Job[/name_m], [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] ([name_m]Robert[/name_m]) & [name_u]Billy[/name_u] ([name_m]William[/name_m]). Like the girls, they failed at bullying me, plus I’ve know many others with these names so they aren’t tainted.
