Names that have the same ending

I was thinking about names that have the same ending. I have been loving the -eigh family for girls.
[name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Karleigh[/name_f]
Avreigh
[name_f]Kimberleigh[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any names that you [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], but would NEVER name a group of siblings?

I’m finding that a majority of the names I like end in the -uh sound. Like: [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f].

I like a few that have the -ie ending:

[name_f]Leonie[/name_f], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f], [name_f]Hattie[/name_f].

Usually -a endings or -ie for me with girls names. [name_f]Adela[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] etc.

With boys it’s more -on sounds and -s endings. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] and then [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m].

I wouldn’t let it prevent me from using a name, unless they rhyme, as is the case with some of the names here.

I have this problem with -o ending names, [name_m]Inigo[/name_m], [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m], [name_f]Clio[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f], Vieno, [name_u]Valo[/name_u], Falco, Finlo, [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], [name_m]Philo[/name_m], [name_m]Elmo[/name_m], [name_m]Ianto[/name_m], [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_m]Ivo[/name_m], [name_m]Jago[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], Miro, [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_u]Echo[/name_u]…
All of these names have been up for consideration when making my top 20, it’s not fun to only have to choose about 3 for either gender, and know that if you use one you have to not use the other 5… It’s such a distinctive last letter also, so I don’t think I could use more than one in a sibset…

Also, -s for boys, [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Idris[/name_m], [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m], [name_m]Osiris[/name_m], [name_m]Amias[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m], [name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_m]Moses[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Sirius[/name_m]… Some I would use for brothers, others I couldn’t ([name_m]Miles[/name_m] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Idris[/name_m] and [name_m]Emrys[/name_m])
And -ia for girls, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], [name_f]Junia[/name_f], [name_f]Sancia[/name_f], [name_f]Gloria[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], [name_f]Mireia[/name_f], [name_f]Zenovia[/name_f], [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f]…

Yes! I’ve been crushing on anything ending in -ine lately. [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], seraphine, [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], emmeline etc etc etc

I like a lot of boys names ending in S or O

[name_m]Apollo[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Spiro[/name_m]
[name_m]Darius[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m]

Girls I think my favorites have more variety:
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f]

Many end in A, but have different sounds before that.

My biggest issue is many of my favorites I would use begin with L - [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], [name_f]Leila[/name_f]. A lot also begin with A - [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]. I’d try to avoid giving my children repeating initials, but if the overall sound was the diffrrent enough, I’d use it (ie id use [name_f]Leona[/name_f] with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] but not [name_f]Leila[/name_f].)

My neighbor has daughters named [name_f]Dariana[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], and [name_f]Briana[/name_f]. I definitely wouldn’t do that.

So many of my favourite girls’ names are 3/4 syllables and end in -a. It actually makes finding MNs hard because I don’t want to repeat the -a ending.
For boys’ names, the -n ending crops up quite a bit but not as often as -a does on my girls’ list.
