Half of my family is from the Mississippi Delta. I’m looking for names that either overtly or subtly honor the south, and especially Mississippi.
The key aspects would be, the river, delta blues music (or blues in general), and southern gothic in general.

Thank you for responding! I have Honey on my list, though, I didn’t realize it could be an honor for Mississippi. I do like River, I had it on my list for years, I don’t remember why I took it off 
I like Laurel and Haven but can’t use them due to bad personal associations.

I’m gonna bring this back just to see if anyone has any more suggestions. My paternal grandfather’s family is from Mississippi (the delta), and my maternal grandfather is from Arkansas. So, let’s expand this to the American South in general, and specifically this region. Can be names that honor the south or this region, or just names that make you think of the south.
Seems odd to honor a place but Im thinking more reminds me of the south
