A couple of days ago I was talking to a friend about a name that I have been liking recently - [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. She pointed out to me that in our accent, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is pronounced “bee-triss” and sounds a bit too much like “beetroots.”
It reminded me of another time when I heard somebody point out that [name_m]Chester[/name_m] sounds like “chest hair.” This got me wondering if anybody else had ever went off a name once they realised that is sounded like another word, or if anybody else had ever noticed a similarity like this - I’d love to hear about it!

[name_m]Graham[/name_m] sounds like [name_m]Gram[/name_m], like what some people call their grandma.
