I am looking for names that start with M to honor my brother [name_u]Michael[/name_u].
I personally love names of all categories and types, I am pretty open.
Names both hubby and I like: [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
Other names I also love:
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Harry[/name_m]
Hubby specifically dislikes the long O sound, so [name_m]Milo[/name_m] unfortunately doesn’t work. He has a hard time feeling like any name is"good enough" and has a hard time pouring over lists himself, so take the names he likes listed above with a grain of salt. His primary concern is not wanting a name so out there that there will be teasing.
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] came to mind, has that become more for girls than unisex nowadays?
Our last name starts with F, is two syllables, and ends in -er. Let’s say it is [name_m]Fischer[/name_m], if getting a sense of flow helps.
I think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is still solidly a boys’ name. It might be being used for girls at some level, but I think it is still much more popular for boys and the fact that this is a traditional biblical name has helped it stay a boys’ name. More M name ideas:
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_m]Matthias[/name_m]
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Marsden[/name_m]
[name_m]Maverick[/name_m]
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]
[name_u]Murray[/name_u]
Maxwell
Maximilian
Our [name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_m]Namer[/name_m] is a great website to see how often a name is used and for which gender.
[name_m]Matthias[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]: gift of God
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m], [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_m]Micaiah[/name_m] are other forms of the name [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and also means who is like God.
I think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is definitely on the boys side and, being a form of [name_u]Michael[/name_u], a great way to honour your brother of this name.
