Names that work in German and Italian đź’›

This year I have been loving German names a lot and, even though I am not German (and I don’t have German descent), and in general, since my lists are being quiet full recently and I need to clean it up: what are some names that work in both languages?

Especially me and my passion for German and French names, I thought this was a great opportunity for name hunting. Thank you for humouring me!!

Not sure if I can use it, already the name of a cousin. Pity because it has such a nice sound, and I love the sound. Probably would be one of my favourite names in Italian if it was rarer or if my cousin wasn’t named that, or if it had a less religious meaning. I have never heard of Leano before!

I really like Emilia because it is rare here and vintage :yellow_heart::sunflower::sparkles: but I know it is super common in Germany? Some other names (in Italian) I like are: Lavinia, Fiammetta, Violetta, Giulietta, Frida, Elsa, Isadora, Magda, Camelia, Leonora, Amalia, Evelina, how would they be perceived (you are from Germany, if I am correct)? Oh, and I like Ines (& Astrid) as an international name!

Lavinia: frilly but not difficult
Fiammetta: might raise more eyebrows than Lavinia, but still not a problem. Maybe some confusion over if the ia is one or two syllables
Violetta: not a problem
Giulietta: might get pronunciation issues, both with the G and the iu
Frida: perfectly common, even feels more German than Italian
Elsa: perfectly common
Isadora: not a problem
Magda: not as common as Frida, but still feels very German
Camelia: Easy enough to write and say, might get some comments about camels
Leonora: not a problem
Amalia: not a problem, feels royal, might get confused with the super common Emilia
Evelina: should be easy enough to spell and say, but is not widely known and might be mistaken for Evelyn

Sorry I don’t have any suggestions of my own, but I hope this helps!
