What names can you think of to go with [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], either in the first or middle spot? I already like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], but I saw this spelling and fell in love with it. I’m thinking nature names and uncommon/unique/surprising names. I like [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], but I’m already using [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] for 2 of my combos ([name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Monet[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Aleda[/name_f]), so I would like to consider some other names too.
[name_f]Elouise[/name_f] is certainly very beautiful, but for clarity’s sake, I would use [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] in the middle spot and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] as a first name.
I think it would get quite tiring for an [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] to constantly be informing people that her name includes a U, and ‘NO, it isn’t like the [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] books!’
Popularity has sort of grabbed [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and ran with it, so any alternate spelling would have a hard time integrating properly (and would lead to a tremendous amount of clerical errors).
For what it’s worth, I think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] is your best [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] combo.
I agree that [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] is your best [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] combo, as well. I’m so disappointed that [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] has gotten popular (I love the name, too) and there might be tons of spelling errors, however, nobody has [name_u]EVER[/name_u] spelled my name right (except my parents lol) and I’m honestly used to it by now and don’t think anything of it.
(Some of these can be switched around)
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Blossom[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Wisteria[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Fauna[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] (if you don’t mind alliteration)
Although I am nowhere near having a child, if I did have one I wouldn’t worry about spelling or people recognizing their name much (not that I would choose a ridiculously difficult name like my middle name which has 10 letters including confusing vowel combinations and double letters whose pronunciation doesn’t match the spelling in the slightest). Most people never spelled and pronounced [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f] correctly my whole life and I got a lot of people asking whether I mispronounced my own name and I meant [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. It never really bothered me and I just give a different name to baristas and the like.
I do really like [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] and I think I’ll add it to my list.
From your suggestions, I like [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f].
I agree about the spelling errors. It doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. I like your suggestions of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]. I do like alliteration, but mostly with consonants. I also like [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
Thanks @lawsonhaley! Your suggestions are so nice :). I also like some of them flipped around ([name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Elouise[/name_f]).
These are all good suggestions and I think I have enough ideas now. Now I’ve got quite a few new combos in the making!
