I need help coming up with a first and a middle name for our little boy,
due in [name_f]September[/name_f], but I just can’t find anything to go with our last name,
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]. I’ve always loved the name [name_u]James[/name_u], but we’re not sure because
we think it rhymes too much. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
We have way too many name ideas, so we need help deciding! Thank you!
These are some names we both like:
[name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_u]Rylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
(Also, I like the name Rhydian, but I’m not sure on how other people would take
it, with pronunciation…and because it’s not used a lot in [name_u]America[/name_u].)
[name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] actually has a very nice rhythm, though I might warn you that it’s the name of a pretty prevalent American football player. He’s also a composer.
I like the name [name_m]Leo[/name_m] a lot, but with your short surname, the altogether feel is a bit choppy.
I’m not as much a fan of the others…Rhydian, [name_u]Rylan[/name_u]…you seem to like R names. [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] (picking up the suffix of [name_u]Michael[/name_u]) has a very unique flair, and might me more well-recieved in the US (I’m not sure where you’re hailing from, but indeed, Rhydian would come across as decidedly fantastical in the States…it has a bit of a Tolkein-esque flair, to my ears).
With [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], I’d be less concerned about the rhymeyness of it and more concerned that upon a Google search the first three things that pop up are mugshots.
Suggestions:
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_m]Charleston[/name_m]
[name_m]Remington[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_m]Simeon[/name_m]
Thank you!
About Rhydian…it’s actually Welsh.
It’s more popular over in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] and [name_f]England[/name_f] than here in the US.
I was going through my family history and found it.
I like [name_m]Simeon[/name_m] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]…thanks!
I think that [name_m]Simeon[/name_m] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] are both great with [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] (one of my best guy friends is names [name_m]Simeon[/name_m], goes by [name_m]Sim[/name_m]) I also think that [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] sound good.
