Names to honor Paul and maureen

Looking for a name for a baby that honours two family members.

The obvious being [name_f]Pauleen[/name_f]. I’d rather something with a nice meaning, but have come to a bit of a roadblock.

Open to different styles and a mixture of gender specific and unisex. [name_f]My[/name_f] son has a unisex name.

[name_f]Maureen[/name_f] is a variation of [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. There might be some inspiration in this list for you!

How about [name_f]Polly[/name_f] for a girl? It shares a sound with [name_m]Paul[/name_m] (or kind of does, depending on your accent) and it is another ‘Mary’ name like [name_f]Maureen[/name_f].

I’m just going to second @Estrela and say [name_f]Paulina[/name_f]! Such a cute name and feels fresher than [name_f]Pauline[/name_f].

I looked up the meaning, I could sort of see why “small and humble” wouldn’t be the most ideal meaning for a girl’s name, but it’s not bad either. I think in your case, the meaning is in the honor, so I wouldn’t let it stop you!

For [name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Pauline[/name_f] / [name_f]Polina[/name_f]
[name_f]Polly[/name_f]

For [name_f]Maureen[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] / [name_f]Flora[/name_f] / [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_m]Ori[/name_m] / [name_f]Oriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Rena[/name_f] / [name_f]Reena[/name_f] / [name_f]Rina[/name_f]

I sort of think [name_f]Polly[/name_f] would work for both (Mary historically has roots in [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Maureen[/name_f], while [name_m]Paul[/name_m] to [name_f]Polly[/name_f] feels more obvious). But I like the idea of [name_f]Opal[/name_f]! Maybe [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] or [name_f]Opaline[/name_f] for both.

With [name_f]Maureen[/name_f] being a [name_f]Mary[/name_f] variation, maybe [name_f]Mary[/name_f] + [name_m]Paul[/name_m] = [name_m]Perry[/name_m]?
