Names too similar?

We have a girl [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] that goes by [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and expecting another girl soon. My favorite name is [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] … Is this too similar?

[name_f]Zadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] don’t really feel similar to me. I think you’d be fine.

They both have the same ending, but they don’t feel similar to me. I wouldn’t blink twice at sisters called [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] & [name_f]Zadie[/name_f], other than blinking because they’re beautifully unique names! I would hesitate over [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] itself, just because that’s a name for “Grandpa” in some cultures (I call my grandpa [name_f]Zadie[/name_f]).

I definitely think [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] sounds distinct enough! Not too similar at all.

I don’t think it’s too similar at all. In fact, I’m a bit the other way… [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] is so short and hip next to [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] that it seems a bit out of place to me. [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] does sound super cute though! What about a longer name that can be NN’ed to [name_f]Zadie[/name_f]??

Not too similar! Cute sibling names

[name_f]Zadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] make a very cute sibset

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] & [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] are gorgeous

I think they sound fine together! Very coold names. [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] are quite matchy, but [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] has her ‘proper’ name too.
