Wife is due with #4 next spring and so far having a heck of a time coming up with names but I was thinking we have honored her great grandma,my mother,grandfather and will be her grandfather if this is a boy with names. Her father’s name is [name_m]Richard[/name_m] and my fathers name is [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_u]Howard[/name_u] for a name for the new one but also would see if we can mix [name_m]Charles[/name_m] and [name_m]Richard[/name_m] and come up with a completely new name for the baby…so any ideas?

I think [name_m]Richard[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] sounds like a nice combination as well. It’s hard for me to combine these because they both share the “char” letters so it gives a bit less diversity to work with. Have you thought about looking up the meanings of the names and finding some names that mean the same or something similar? Good luck finding some good names!

I’m guessing you are having a boy by the names listed. I like the suggestion of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] or [name_m]Chadrick[/name_m] or Charico if you want to combine them.

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes I like [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_u]Howard[/name_u] as well but wife said no and she isn’t close enough to her own father to want to name a child for him. So I mentioned a name I had kept seeing and liking it but just KNOWING she would hate which was [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]. She loved it. Loves the meaning combined with [name_u]Howard[/name_u] which means Strong like a bear protecting the home. Also means argumentative in English LOL…
