I’m trying to think of names that could have Nami as the nn. We really like it, but I don’t know if it would sound right for an adult. Nami itself is a Japanese name (in not sure how common) & it typically means wave.
Edit: I’m not big on the name Nanami

Hmm… Boy or girl? Not sure of the gender. I don’t know your exact name aesthetic, but here are some suggestions anyway: [name_f]Anemone[/name_f], [name_f]Connemara[/name_f], [name_m]Namaka[/name_m], [name_m]Namir[/name_m], Nemeia, [name_m]Nemesio[/name_m], [name_f]Panama[/name_f], Zeman. The only one of these previous names I really like is [name_m]Namaka[/name_m] nn Nami. [name_m]Namaka[/name_m] is Hawaiian for “beautiful eyes”, which is cute and could be used throughout life. Also Nemeia could possibly work for a girl. Honestly, though, if you really love the name, why not just use Nami?
I would just use Nami on its own but [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is an option if you definitely wanted a ‘normal’ name.
What about a first and middle combo?

Besides [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], which is adorable I think, [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] or:
[name_f]Nalani[/name_f] M. (M is her middle initial)
[name_f]Neoma[/name_f]
Any name that begins with a Na could technically work so Nami could be used as a nickname.
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] / [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] / [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] / [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] / [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] / etc
