I am due in 3 weeks with baby boy #2, our first is named [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. This baby was supposed to be [name_m]Felix[/name_m], but due to some crazy unfortunate circumstances, my husband is second guessing our decision despite the fact that the name originally popped up on our radar as a way to honor his late grandfather. I’m not entirely sure that this crazy circumstance is enough to convince me we need to change his name, but I’d like some other options to go in with. I haven’t found any other name that I like, the only two close contenders are [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Mateo[/name_m]. Husband isn’t a fan of [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] and doesn’t seem crazy over [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. [name_m]Damian[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] were two contenders earlier on, but we realized they are names we think are nice and strong but give us no actual “feeling” if that makes sense. Not enough personality in the name. Any suggestions would be helpful! Our name style seems to be old fashioned with a little trendy vibe to it. Nothing over the top, still classic but not so generalized that it’s boring.
I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m] with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. Also [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m].

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (too close to [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]??)

[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]

I don’t think any of these have been suggested yet, apologies if they have. Of the names you already have, I think [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Milo[/name_m], and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] work great with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]!

I have a [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and I’d stick with it if you can! It’s my favorite name of our sons. We get boatloads of compliments on it, more than the others sons, [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. If our fourth had been a boy, it would have been [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. Good luck!
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and…

For some reason [name_m]Felix[/name_m] always makes me think of [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], same vibe to me. Other ideas: [name_m]Otis[/name_m], [name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m], [name_m]Franklin[/name_m], [name_m]Roger[/name_m], [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]… good luck.
I know these have been suggested by my first thoughts as brother to [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are:
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_u]Eliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_u]Rex[/name_u], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], [name_m]Orson[/name_m], and [name_m]Otto[/name_m] first came to mind
[name_u]Max/name_u, [name_u]Theo/name_u, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] work to me.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! For those who mentioned that they think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] works great with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], does anyone get a “[name_m]Milo[/name_m] & [name_m]Otis[/name_m]” type vibe? My husband says [name_m]Milo[/name_m] sounds like a pet and I told him so does [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and so did [name_m]Felix[/name_m], lol I’ve come to terms with the fact we like cat/dog names for our children rather than our cats and dogs… but curious if the combo is too much?

Oh no! I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m] with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]?
To your question about [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Milo[/name_m], maybe a little, but [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] would move away from that, and I like that combo too!
I was also going to suggest [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. It’s similar to [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and I think it sounds great with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].
