Names with poetic, breathtaking meanings

I love this theme and thought I’d make one for boy names. This is inspired by the thread that @mellona made for the girl names section. Here are some names that I can think of…

Armel - Bear prince
Aubade - Morning love song
Brynjar - Warrior armor
Caligo - Darkness, mist
Elwyn - Noble friend, elf friend
Eneko - My little one
Faramond - Protector of journeys
Lindir - Song man
Luno - One who stares at the moon
Neven - Marigold
Sansar - Cosmos
Somerled - Summer traveler
Tarka - Wandering as water

What are your suggestions?

I also thought of [name_m]Rodion[/name_m], which means song of the hero!

I wouldn’t use [name_m]Aubade[/name_m], it’s a feminine name so it sounds a bit weird for a boy, but most of all it’s a very well-known lingerie brand. It’s a pretty word but I don’t think it would make a good baby name.

@Eirime Hmm, I see that it’s listed as a boy name on here. I haven’t heard of that association either.

@fearlessfirefly it’s an old [name_u]French[/name_u] word and its grammatical gender is feminine. I’ve never heard it used as a person’s name (definitely not used in France), although it could be gorgeous. I can only think of the lingerie though, and if you Google it you’ll have pages and pages of bras. It just wouldn’t be easy every day to be named [name_m]Aubade[/name_m].

@Eirime Okay, fair point. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any name suggestions?

I don’t see why this can’t be a boy’s name, so I’ll add [name_f]Apricity[/name_f]. It means “the warmth of sunshine in winter,” and it’s such a dreamy name! I do also think that [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], which means “little seal,” is very charming! Some more I like are…
