Names you briefly thought were amazing...

I just had the great idea of [name_m]Aesop[/name_m] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] as a combination. It took me a good few seconds to realise why it seemed to flow so well!

I bet lots of you have had similar ideas that seemed perfect for a brief moment before you had a realisation of your stupidity.

So drop all of your silly ideas here so we can all have a good laugh!

I always go through stages where I find word combos amazing. Like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u], [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u], etc. I still think they sound so beautiful but it’s more the imagery they evoke, I realise they would sound daft on an actual human!

[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] come to mind. Though to be quite honest, I only considered [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] after listening to [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. I’ve loved [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] since before I started watching [name_u]Grey[/name_u]'s though!

I feel the same about [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u].

I also briefly thought that [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] would make a pretty first and middle combo, until I realised that it’s the first and last name of the main character of [name_u]Grey[/name_u]'s Anatomy.

[name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] Selladore and Versailles [name_f]Blossom[/name_f].

These are all lovely ^^

I used to believe that the more obscure and complicated a name was the better a choice it would be, so my list used to be filled with the likes of Telfalethiel, Symphorosa, Rosaeodora, Minelauva, Luminitsa, Hephaestine, Deomiorix, Calandrinia, Apollinaria for girls and Yildirim, Vitruvius, Espiridion, Quintillian, Iedechael, Fraxineus, Festinato, Audovacar, Anaximander for boys. Obscure Greek mythology names were my go-to source for inspiration, as well as Latin names for nature things like Libellulidae and Miathyria and Evansiana anyone?

I still love Prelidiana, Ealisaid, Alastríona, [name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f], [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f], Penthesileia, Audovera, Altisadora, Somerilda, [name_f]Esclarmonde[/name_f], Mnemosyne, Bensiabel, [name_m]Odysseus[/name_m], Ilmarinen, [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m], Bedivere, [name_m]Endymion[/name_m], [name_m]Aneurin[/name_m], Annachie, Somerled, [name_m]Ludovic[/name_m], Pryderi, Iskandar, Florestan, [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] and Eglamour though :stuck_out_tongue: But my list now also has simpler things like [name_m]Colin[/name_m] and [name_u]Bird[/name_u].

I was very excited when I came up with [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]. [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] from Pride & Prejudice didn’t even come to mind for me (In my defense, it has been a whole lot of years since I read it :p)

Özgü [name_f]Kara[/name_f]

I was thinking a sibling name for Yaz An and searching for names that has z in it. Özgü was screaming for attention and it seemed to suit [name_f]Kara[/name_f], my guilty please name.

Corinthian is a name (or not so name) that I keep coming back to. I think it’s perfect, it has the nicknames [name_f]Cori[/name_f], [name_u]Corin[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Ian[/name_m] but people keep telling me that it’s not a name and that the people in Corinth weren’t all that great. Such a shame because I can really seem myself with a child called Corinthian.

It does have a lovely sound to it! There’s always [name_m]Corentin[/name_m], which is a little bit similar…
