I don’t think I even have much of a naming style- their all other the place, especially my girls list which contains: [name_f]Clover[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f], [name_f]Marceline[/name_f], [name_f]Alba[/name_f], [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_u]Fable[/name_u]. My boys list is a little more clear but still with [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_u]Everest[/name_u], [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Walden[/name_m], [name_m]Oswin[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and Theobold there isn’t much that would stand out.
Most of my favourite boy names are classic and traditional (see bottom list if you like) but my absolute favourite is [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]. I’m still on the fence about adding it because it would so odd among [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. But i love it.
I like so few boys’ names that the ones I do like are all over the map, but my girls’ names style tends to be either extremely bold ([name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Ismay[/name_f], [name_f]Mazarine[/name_f]) or flowery and apocryphal ([name_f]Iphigenia[/name_f], [name_f]Sybella[/name_f], [name_f]Amoret[/name_f].) So when I like normal, classic top 100ish names, they tend to be the outliers. Ones like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. Also, there are exactly two unisex names on my endless list: [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Adair[/name_u].
My style, especially for girls’ names, is sort of all over the place, but to give you a taste…
I like names like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]…
But then I also like [name_f]Nahla[/name_f] and [name_f]Zora[/name_f] and [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], and [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] and [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_u]January[/name_u]…
Then there’s the unisex/tomboy… [name_u]Scout[/name_u], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Lil[/name_f], [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
For boys I’m pretty consistent: I like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Gale[/name_u], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], etc. But there are a few outliers, but I wouldn’t necessarily consider using these: [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], Huckabee/[name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Ferris[/name_m].
I can’t really decide on what my style really is. What’s for sure is that I H-A-T-E gender neutral name and names that seem invented (eg. [name_u]Cerulean[/name_u]) as well as named derived from words (like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]). For some reasons I don’t really know, I love some names from the mentioned categories and I would really like to use them for my children. These names are :
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_f]Eira[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
Names that I like but aren’t my style/I wouldn’t use would be,
For boys, [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Joah[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
For girls, [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], Gracyn, and [name_u]Rory[/name_u].
