Names you liked when you were a teen or child

At the age of about 10/11 I loved the names [name]Jessica[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Grace[/name] for girls, and [name]Liam[/name], [name]Zachary[/name], [name]James[/name] and [name]Matthew[/name] for boys. I
still like those names, but they just don’t excite me too much any more as first names - I’d consider them all for middles though.

I am glad I wasn’t a teen mother as I wasn’t grown up enough to name human beings LOL. I think all my names came from one TV show or another and I don’t like any of them now.

Boys:
[name]Talon[/name]
[name]Harmon[/name]
[name]Joshua[/name]

Girls:
Aeryn
[name]Gina[/name]
[name]Dana[/name]

Adanya, [name]Dara[/name], [name]Dakota[/name] (w/ sibling [name]Virginia[/name] no less), [name]Bianca[/name]
[name]Toby[/name], [name]Wesley[/name], [name]Darren[/name]

Mostly cringes…

When I was child, I really like the names [name]Lucas[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name], I thought that [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Nate[/name] were cute nicknames together lol.
I do still really like these names.

I’m a woman who grew up in the 60’s and 70’s, and I have always had lists of names I loved.

When I was 13/14, I loved [name]Richard[/name] and [name]Emily[/name]. [name]Richard[/name] for [name]Richard[/name] [name]Dawson[/name], and [name]Emily[/name] for [name]Suzanne[/name] Pleshette’s character on “The [name]Bob[/name] Newhart Show”. Still great names. I also always loved [name]Catherine[/name] (never with a “K”), [name]Elizabeth[/name], and [name]Matthew[/name], and I still do.

For a while in high school, I thought the name [name]Chandra[/name] was the most amazingly beautiful name ever. [name]Don[/name]'t like it now.

When my first child was born, we considered names like [name]Cody[/name], [name]Micah[/name], [name]Erin[/name], [name]Amber[/name], and [name]Hilary[/name]. When my second child was born, the list included [name]Katie[/name], [name]Heather[/name], [name]Lana[/name], and I can’t even recall the boy names. I wouldn’t use any of these now…even the ones I did use on my children. My ex named them.

Now, names that I would have never dreamed of liking are my favorites. I absolutely adore [name]Agnes[/name] and [name]Sebastian[/name].

Almost forgot to mention my daydreams of a huge family of all female children, all with flower first names (with rooms decorated to match!) and virtue middle names. What a nut I was! I had:
Rose Patience
Lily Grace
Daisy Hope
These girls shared the yellow and white room.
Iris Charity
Violet Faith
Heather Constance
These girls shared the purple room.
Daddy was going to be a preacher/musician with a sort of disheveled/bearded look, and we were going to live in a home in the Colorado Rockies. LOL…my reality turned out far differently!

My favorite boys name has always been [name]Seth[/name], for as long as I can remember, and it still is. My taste in girls names has certainly evolved, however. The first I can remember liking was [name]Christelle[/name] (which, frankly, I don’t understand anymore) and then when I really started getting into names, it was [name]Noelle[/name]. Now, I like the similar [name]Nola[/name]/[name]Nora[/name], but I like several other names that I think are a lot better than the names I used to like. However…I’m only 15, so I won’t have kids for a couple more years. My name style will probably change between now and then!

[name]Truly[/name] these names was popular among ourselves when we were in childhood. These names were popular

I liked [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Yasmine[/name] and for a boy for some reason I liked Murdoch but that was when I was eight. When I was about two I loved [name]Freda[/name] after the sesame street character. Same with [name]Zoe[/name] I think. I am only 13 now so I like [name]Isobel[/name] and [name]Eamon[/name].

When I was younger, I loved the names [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name], as well as [name]Violet[/name]. I’m not really sure why…

[name]Lucille[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name], two of my favorites from as far back as I can recall, I still love those ones and would use them.

And then there’s names like [name]Tammy[/name], [name]Erica[/name], [name]Kimberly[/name], [name]Laura[/name], [name]Jenna[/name], [name]Holly[/name], [name]Jessica[/name], [name]Jay[/name], [name]Jonathan[/name], [name]Jeremiah[/name], [name]Rufus[/name], [name]Lazar[/name], [name]Peter[/name], etc… which I probably wouldn’t use because they are over-exposed and dated to the 80’s for the most part but I don’t think they are all that bad.

When I was a child I liked:

[name]Madison[/name]/[name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Sally[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]

[name]Vladimir[/name]

However, now, I like boy names a lot more than girls, and wouldn’t use [name]Sally[/name] or [name]Madeline[/name]. I most likely wouldn’t use [name]Vladimir[/name] as a first name now

[name]Evangeline[/name], however, I became obsessed with at age 8 or 9, and was the main reason for my obsession with names.
