Names you made yourself

I like to try and make up some names I’ve never heard before or mash up different parts of names and get excited whenever I actually really like/love them and I want to hear some of yalls as well out of curiosity!
Right now my mind came up with Araliya/Arathea/Arathena/Arathela (prn like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] but with an L) and I am in love  :crescent_moon: :stars: :cherry_blossom: :revolving_hearts:

I like Macla (MACK-luh) and Schorla (SCORE-lub)! I also made up the name Edenelle as a kid, which I don’t like as much, but I think it’s cool!

I thought of Athelia too, I’ve said it to my partner and put it in notes so much it’s in my suggestions when I type now  beautiful! A made up name I’d gladly give a daughter

I came up with the name Razzelynn, then added the middle names [name_f]Zoë[/name_f] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] because I thought it sounded cool.

So, Razzelynn [name_f]Zoë[/name_f] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] <3

In primary school we came up with the name Tessanie!

When I was a kid, I misread the name [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] in a book as Eloide. I pronounced it like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] with a D. It would NEVER work in real life because people would end up saying el-o-WEED :joy: But I liked Eloide as a kid & used it in some stories I wrote.

Another one I made up as a kid was Briekka. I guess I liked trendy sounding names back then LOL

PS the books in question were the [name_u]Shadow[/name_u] Children series by [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_m]Peterson[/name_m] Haddix. Her use of names in the series is amazing - many characters have real & fake names, some of which share initials or nicknames. She also uses names of varying eras & styles to make it more ambiguous when/where the story takes place. The main female character was named [name_f]Nina[/name_f], but her real name was [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. I think her real name was only mentioned twice in the series - I read one of those books several times thinking it was Eloide, then in the next book Haddix rhymes [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] & [name_f]Melody[/name_f] and only then did I realize my mistake :joy:

Made up a “Serbian” name yesterday when I was talking to my mom and grandma (they laughed and thought my made up name was pretty good) I came up with “Leposaveta” which is long & combines Lepo from the name Leposava & the ending from the name Jelisaveta together. I don’t even know how I came up with it, I was joking around and made it for fun. It did make my family smile though lol

I just have one that I ended up mishearing, but I still think it’s a cool name. It’s not on Nameberry, but I have seen a couple results come up on Google.
